An alloy rim reduces the weight of the complete wheel and can be recognized by the clearly visible screws on the inner edge of the rim.

The chrome rim: straight from motorsport
A new trend that has its origins in motor sports and is at the forefront of the tuning scene is the chrome wheel. In the meantime, you can also have them fitted to your own car.
