Benefits of sickness allowance insurance Communications sick pay

Daily benefits

In the event of a prolonged illness and associated disability, your employer is required to continue to pay your salary for six weeks. From the 43rd calendar day onwards, your statutory health insurance will pay up to 90 percent of your gross salary. Should your illness be of longer duration, you will have a financial gap that our health insurance will close for you. Our benefit compensates for the financial difference between normal income and the statutory sickness benefit. The DFV KrankenGeld offers you a loss of earnings insurance from the 43rd calendar day of incapacity for work, with no time limit.

reintegration

Reintegration measures are designed to gradually recapture workers, after a prolonged period of illness, to the burden of their employment. The work performance is not yet fully provided at this time and thus not fully compensated for the gross salary. In the event of reintegration, the daily allowance insurance of the DFV ensures that they are financially secure. As you gradually resume your employment, you will continue to receive sickness benefits until you are fully back in business. The DFV-KrankenGeld allows you a worry-free recovery.

Rehabilitation and hospitalization

Severe accidents or illnesses require a long recovery, which can be promoted by rehabilitation or treatment. Treatments of this kind are both outpatient and inpatient. In case of inpatient treatment, the patient is confronted with a loss of 10 euros per calendar day, in addition to losses in net income. With the DFV sickness insurance you receive sickness allowance for every calendar day of disability. Also in the case of medical rehabilitation measures, with ambulatory or inpatient treatment as well as hospital stays, Deutsche Familienversicherung is at your side.
