Rollerblades / inline skates

Since the 90s, the sport has "inlinern" Drive around more fans found. But inliners are not only fun, but also keeps you healthy: muscles and endurance are trained equally. Due to the uniform movement, no impact is exerted on the joints or on the intervertebral discs.

"inlinern" has become a trend sport, which is now geared to the different needs of its fans. The manufacturers have responded quickly and launched different models, which can be roughly divided into four groups:

  • >> HardBoot Kates In these shoes, a hard plastic outer shell encloses a soft liner. Hardboots are mainly in the street and stunt area in use, as they offer more grip compared to soft boots.
  • >> Softboot Kates Soft boot skates have become popular in the fitness field because they convince with comfort thanks to their soft materials. In contrast to the so-called "Aggressive skates" They also have brake pads. A special version of the softboats are the "Step-in skates". With these you can take off the rails – with wheels and brakes – and then have street shoes on their feet.
  • >> speed skates Speed skates are special in-line skates that enable higher speeds and are used in racing. Their special feature is the low height of the shoe, which extends only to the ankle. This ensures a higher mobility in the ankle area, which is necessary for rolling on the outer and inner roll edges. Only then can you use techniques such as the "Double-Push", perform technically clean.
  • >> Street or aggressive skates Aggressive skates are mainly used by freestyle skaters. They are particularly suitable for jumps, use in the halfpipe, on ramps, for slides or stairs, because they have a high stability and small, hard wheels.

Important in the purchase decision, in addition to the consideration "How you want to drive with your rollerblades?", also the handle to "right role". On the one hand, the quality of the ball bearing is decisive for the roller (classification according to ABEC, in ascending quality ABEC 1, ABEC 3, ABEC 5, ABEC 7, ABEC 9 and ABEC 11), on the other hand the size of the roller has to be considered. How to use the "Stunt skating" smaller roles, in the area of "speed Skating" meanwhile 100 mm and 110 mm big wheels are driven. In the normal leisure area, 85 to 90 mm wheels have been established.

For beginners, we recommend an introductory course that teaches you how to brake and how to fall properly. Lintels with inline skates are not uncommon. Although it may look a bit chicer without protection, the helmet, knee protector and wrist protector are a must for your own protection!

Inline skates for children

Children’s feet are extremely sensitive! For this reason, it is important for children‘s in-line skates to have excellent fit and stability so that little feet are not damaged in growth. Therefore, especially with the inliners for your children, you should not resort to the cheapest option. The children‘s inline skates of the brand manufacturers are the "No-name offerings" – usually – far superior. Please be advised before your purchase! In addition, brand manufacturers have long reacted to the fact that children’s feet are growing fast: Most children’s liners are adjustable and thus last for several years!

Kinderskates (also called Rollerblades) are a variant of "roller skates". Inline skates are the roles in a row (engl. "line-in") arranged. The inline skate itself, consists of a shoe, a rail (which is firmly connected to the sole) and mounted therein ball-bearing plastic wheels (four rollers), which are attached by means of axes to the rail.

Scooter & kickboards

You want to be mobile everywhere, then you have come to the right place – with us you get scooters in all variations. Folding scooters, also called scooters, we recommend especially when it comes to low pack size and low weight.

Kickboards have three wheels and are mainly controlled by weight transfer. The handlebar or joystick supports the initiated steering movement only. The company micro mobility stands for quality and safety right from the start. The products are designed and developed in Switzerland and Germany.

Micro has been one of the leading manufacturers of kickboards and folding scooters for many years – this experience is felt by the buyer. Micro folding scooters and kickboards are more popular among kids! There is hardly a child who can be found without a scooter on the way to school or kindergarten in the morning. The scooters are small and can be quickly folded thanks to the quick fasteners. The mini-folding scooters are usually equipped with hard inline tires, as we know from the roller blades. Mini scooters are an indispensable, compact means of transport for short distances – or know a better or faster alternative times fast "around the corner" to take care of it? Micro-folding scooters of the new generation also have larger wheels and thus offer a significant increase in safety, driving pleasure and smoothness. Some scooters have a GRP footboard, which additionally holds vibrations and springs.

Boards, helmets & Ball bearings for skaters

Road safety has become a matter of course for everyone. Safety while skating is still neglected. Many skaters are still without a helmet. If you also put more safety on the blade, wear a protective helmet too.

Head or skull injuries are among the most dangerous consequences of accidents. Only one TÜV-certified safety helmet is able to reduce the forces acting on the skull of the cyclist in an accident. Only then can you prevent or mitigate major injuries. Upon impact of the helmet, the foam (or hard foam) of the helmet performs the function of a crumple zone and absorbs energy by compression or breakage. In hard shell helmets, such as those of ALPINA, the shell distributes the force of the impact to a larger area, reducing the likelihood of a fracture of the cranial bone.

CAUTION: Even your skating helmet will sustain permanent deformations during a hard impact and should not be reused because it can no longer fulfill its protective function.

Of course, we also have the right roles. For the different use of the skates specific role sizes are used. When stunt skating to use small wheels sizes from 44 to 66 mm, whereas for the normal driving pleasure rather rollers with a size of 74 to 80 mm are used. In the field of speed skating, a roller diameter of formerly 76 mm to 80 mm and 84 mm developed. The most driven roller size is now 100 mm. Rollers are usually used in the hardness range from 76A (soft) to 90A (hard). The following hardships are common:

  • >> speed Skating Fast driving and long skate tours with low rolling resistance: Road: 82A to 86A; Train: 85A to 90A
  • >> leisure & tour Comfortable unrolling: 78A to 85A
  • >> Aggressive skating 90A to 110A
  • >> Inline Alpine 73A to 85A
  • >> Inline Hockey 72A (indoor) to 86A (outdoor)

Protector set for inline skating, skating & Waven

A little carelessness, a slight stumbling or a stone that has been overlooked is enough to prevent a fall when blading. The consequences can be fatal! Abrasions, bruises, but also broken bones are not rare. The participants of the numerous Blade-Night events can sing many a song of it.

Numerous brand manufacturers have responded with protector sets. K2, the INTERSPORT brand, convinces with its excellent price-performance ratio and good fit. After the ergonomics in men and women is different pronounced (also in the joint area) K2 has each developed special fits. Especially important is the joint protection for children. Here damage can be avoided, which could have long-term effects. Knees, elbows and wrists are the ones most affected by the falls, which is why, in addition to a safety helmet, these protectors should also be worn!
