Snack for kindergarten and school – what best to give?

Snack for kindergarten and school – what best to give?

I was extremely lucky!

In my daughters’ kindergarten, the snack was included – I had to start thinking about the snack to be given very late.

The snack should be healthy – anyway!

But it would be nice if the child eats them too …

One does learn quite quickly know his child’s preferences when the snack box comes home well filled.
I often hear from my girls that there is hardly any time to eat at school. After all, the few minutes of rest are also important to get some exercise and let off steam.
And now that they are already in high school, they often have to switch between classrooms. Then the snack is sometimes only consumed on the way home.

For this reason, the small-scale finger food snack has become more concrete Snacks Ideas with photos then further down in the article – proven as the classic break bread.

My second learning experience was (I should have known if I had actively remembered my own childhood in good time …)

Mom’s lovingly prepared snack is not necessarily eaten by her own child!

Well, after all, I then fed foreign children healthy, while my daughter exchanged a sweet Linz cut &# 128512;

So what is there to consider when it comes to snacking for kindergarten and school?

The snack box

The snack box can be hidden in the school bag as a surprise or can be chosen by the prospective school child himself. After all, it will be a daily companion for a long time.

My favorite thing is these boxes with several compartments *, because the individual components of the snack are nicely separated and stay that way. I remember with horror napkins, which then stick to the sandwich so that you have to pluck the individual lint down!

It should also be dishwasher safe – although it often does not work out that the dishwasher runs exactly when the snack box is at home. Therefore, you will also wash your favorite snack box (if there are several) more often by hand.

Which also leads me to my personal Mama Waterloo

My idea was to introduce the clearing out of the school bag and the associated “bringing the empty snack box into the kitchen” as a small task in terms of participating in household chores as a ritual right after coming home.

I worked with everything – a memorial poster, discussions with the children, agreements. After all, you are reluctant to nagging mom, and in other situations that has also shown success …

But what should I do to you say: in terms of snack box I did not succeed!

My two are now in the 6th and 8th year of school and only a few days have saved me the sentence "Have you already cleared your school bag, the snack box is not yet in the kitchen!" .

What is there to drink as a snack?

Water – and nothing else!

I know that sounds hard – but water is the best drink. And the only one that just dries up when the bottle runs out. Without having to clean a school bag completely dirty with the picky drink.

Of course also ok – unsweetened tea, my daughter loves her warm break drink on cold days, but it is much more expensive to prepare.

Ideas for a snack in kindergarten

And now it’s going to be practical – here you will find great ideas from lovely blogger colleagues.

Please do not stress yourself about the cucumber slices cut into funny shapes and similar megacreative ideas that you like to see in glossy items. It doesn’t have to be at all, it only looks good when you’re taking pictures at home. When the snack box from school is well shaken three hours is opened later in the break, it is not so far with the optics ..

Delicious sugar-free cookies

Ingredients:
2 bananas
200g cereal flakes (oat, millet, rice, spelled flakes or 3-grain mix, 5-grain mix, etc.)
50g butter

Preparation:
Basic recipe: peel and chop the bananas and mix with oatmeal and melted butter to form a dough. Place small piles on a baking sheet with a coffee spoon and bake for approx. 10-15 minutes at 180 ° C in a fan oven.

Variants and ideas:
• Use other fruits / fruit puree (raspberries, blueberries, applesauce, pear puree, etc.); 1 banana corresponds to approx. 120g fresh fruit
• For more sweetness, you can add 1 tbsp of finely chopped dried fruit (raisins are suitable).
• Mix cereal flakes with chia seeds, quinoa or amaranth pops or with coconut flakes
• Instead of butter you can also take 30g butter and 1 tablespoon almond butter or other nut butter
• Of course you can also season the biscuits according to your preferences with cardamom, real bourbon vanilla, cinnamon, orange peel, lemon peel, etc.

Alexandra’s sweet ideas can be wonderfully combined with fruit for a snack.

Have fun trying out the recipes and snack options!
