Strubbel’s favorite color is green and he likes to be outdoors in nature. Ben likes his cool hat – he never goes out without it, because it protects him in wind and weather. The clever and brave Lisa always keeps the two boys on their toes and likes to be part of the common activities. And then there is Lolli, the red and white tabby cat, who is also always part of the party. The three experience a lot – every day anew:

There is the fireman who saves the cat with the ladder from the tall tree. When the red racing car races, Strubbel calls the police. They cheer on the runners who are monitored by the emergency services and help the construction workers to build. It is also exciting when hiking. In the mountains, the weather can quickly change, how good that there is a rescue helicopter.

Fathers are different, but play for them development of a child alongside the mother. Sons in particular need male caregivers for their own understanding of roles as a role model and as a friction surface. Men have different interests and views of the world, they are less careful, they provide more variety and promote the spirit of discovery. Children learn from both parents. In order to develop their own self-identity, children need women and men in their environment.

Author Armin Scheuer developed the cardboard picture book playfully together with his son Philip. For this, the two slipped into different roles and tell a story that stimulates conversation.
