Two strong partners working together for an innovation of environmentally friendly locomotion on Sylt:

GP JOULE and the ISTS rely on e-bikes that are too 100% with renewable electricity from solar energy be fed – an absolute novelty for the island. “We are very pleased to contribute to Sylt’s climate protection with this project,” emphasizes ISTS Marketing Manager Susanne Klick.

The power of the sun also uses the photovoltaic system, which was installed by GP JOULE next to the Westerland water park “Sylter Welle”. There, the e-bikes can be sustainably charged with solar energy. Book progress – a hotel concept with a future

In the first row to the water lies in St. Peter-Ording the 2007 built StrandGut Resort with 98 rooms and suites on four floors. The hotel is right up there with it GP JOULE Connect also in terms of sustainability – with advanced energy and mobility solutions. Being in harmony with nature, this is not only the unique location of the resort, but also the consistent use of renewable energy.

Managing Director Karsten Werner has big plans: “The idea is that later we will not have more electric parking spaces and normal parking spaces, but each parking space will be optionally equipped with an electrical connection.” Considerations for solar carports are also pending. StrandGut has ten charging points in front of the hotel, an e-bike rental service and two e-cars that are available to guests. Thus excursions are possible despite arrival by train without any problems. The billing is done comfortably on the room bill. The success of the concept is confirmed by the guest statistics of the hotel, as not only the holiday experience of e-mobility is in demand, but increasingly more and more guests are already arriving by electricity.

“Our industry has become fast-paced. Therefore, it goes without saying for us too we always stay up to date. If around 95% of our guests still travel with their own fuel-powered car, we are very sure that this picture will change over the next few years. “
