Desensitization is the slow, gradual, age-appropriate approach to the upcoming treatment.
A filling therapy may not only be necessary because of the nasty ‘caries devil’
If the ‘caries devils’ have been at work for some time – possibly unnoticed – the caries spread can already reach the tooth nerve – the so-called pulp of the milk tooth.
All teeth are professionally cleaned and then fluoridated. This is mainly to allow the child to slowly get used to the various instruments that we also need for any subsequent sessions.
The Office for Children, Youth and Generations organizes public and free lectures for parents and those interested in the "Parent-child today?!"-project.
