Pediatric dentistry Potsdam Babelsberg

"Pediatric Dentistry-Potsdam-Babelsberg What does that mean exactly?"

Pediatric Dentistry Potsdam-Babelsberg, sometimes it is a very carious truth. This results in a. a study on dental care for generations in 2008 *. As a result, the habits of dental care and oral hygiene (good and bad) are firmly established in preschool and are practiced by adults who are legal guardians. A particularly alarming finding was that most adults did not consider tooth decay to be a disease or an acute threat to dental health.

Dental and oral hygiene for the unborn child

Careful dental and oral hygiene cannot begin early enough. Even during pregnancy, the combination of meticulous dental care and a balanced diet has a positive effect on the dental health of the newborn. We therefore work with our patients to develop an appropriate dental care and nutrition program right from the start of pregnancy.

Chair of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Witten / Herdecke

The Chair of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Witten / Herdecke focuses on the research and development of integrative, interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approaches in the diagnosis and therapy of mentally ill children and adolescents. The topic is divided into three areas:

  1. Research into the therapeutic effects of physical activity and movement and the mechanisms underlying them in the treatment of mentally ill children and adolescents: Physical activity and movement have an effect on cognition, behavior and psychological experience. In primary prevention, physical activity can protect people from neurodegenerative diseases in old age (dementia) and from the development of mental disorders (depression). Physical activity and exercise can also show therapeutic effects in the treatment of mental disorders, which could be shown for children and adolescents for the course of depressive episodes and hyperkinetic disorders. The aim of our work is to analyze specific therapeutic effects of the different forms of physical training for the treatment of depressive and hyperkinetic disorders and to develop them individually >Studies on the effectiveness of architectural concepts in the treatment of mentally ill children and adolescents ("Healing Architecture"): spatial structures, colors and access to nature influence our psychological experience and behavior in health and illness. The Ev >Research and development of cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary care concepts for the treatment of children and adolescents with mental disorders: According to a biopsychosocial understanding of illnesses, the sole consideration and care of mental symptoms cannot do justice to a sick child or adolescent, since the biological-somatic and social level does not be taken into account. An interdisciplinary approach enables a broader access to the activation of the child’s resources with the aim of giving the child an improved development perspective from the illness. A cross-sectoral (outreach, outpatient or inpatient) and interdisciplinary approach to the treatment of mental disorders could be an option to implement an individualized disorder-specific treatment that takes sufficient account of both psychological, social and biological aspects.

Regular check-ups at the dentist are not only important for adults with permanent teeth. Even for children, it is very important to go to dental appointments early to ensure healthy teeth. But why exactly it is so important for children and what parents can do for their children’s healthy teeth is explained here in detail.

Why should children go to the dentist from an early age??

Regular visits to the dentist at an early stage help the children to gain positive experiences. Many adults are very afraid of the dentist. Due to the early visits and the positive experiences, the fear of the dentist can be avoided and the children find the check-ups pleasant.

Pediatric dentistry in Bonn (Mehlem)

A good dentist for children helps in many ways to lay the foundations for the conscious handling of teeth and gums in childhood. A positive experience of the first visits to the practice can prevent the occurrence of fear of the dentist. Regular check-ups are advisable even with milk teeth, with comprehensive pediatric dentistry always considering the development of the jawbones. Because during the growth phase, malpositions in the dentition can be corrected with less effort than could be the case later.
