Behind the term telescopes dentures hide so-called telescopic prostheses. This combination of crown and denture tooth, for example, can be ideal when implants can not be set. The only requirement is that at least one tooth is still present. At this then the special denture teeth are fixed. Seen from the construction, a telescopic prosthesis is subdivided into primary and secondary telescopes. The primary telescope is fixed on the residual tooth by means of a special cement. Toothpaste should be avoided, because the fine abrasive particles can permanently rough the surface of the denture. There are special denture cleaners that are more suitable for this purpose. After cleaning the telescope tooth replacement, the inside of the mouth and the remaining teeth must be cleaned. You can also gently massage the gums and jawbones with the toothbrush. This care ritual should be done twice a day.
What does a telescope dentures cost?
The cost of a dental telescope can vary and vary from patient to patient. With a telescope dentures, with which six teeth are to be replaced, must be counted for example with costs between 1.500 and 2.000 euro. The more teeth that need to be replaced, the higher the price.
