Teutonia mistral s in the stroller test: pictures, video, prices, babyplaces

The Mistral S is one of the three multi-purpose strollers from Teutonia that takes part in our test. It is equipped with a swivel slide, so the larger wheels can be used in front on rough terrain or normally serve as rear wheels for the city. In addition to the air chamber wheels, air wheels are also available with this model.

The Teutonia Mistral S stroller – our first impression

The stroller is a bit wider and larger, but also more stable. It can be used in the city as well as in the country. The frame has a slightly different shape than the other Teutonia models, but the designs and accessories are just as numerous.

sports car

The sports seat is actually only used as soon as your offspring can sit alone, before a carry bag is probably the better variant. In the lying position, the sports seat is flat and can therefore be used from birth. You can adjust it in four sitting and sleeping positions. The protective bar offers a secure fit and is well padded. The 5-point belt is also padded and grows with you. You can completely remove the hood. The fabrics are washable at 30 ° C.

tote Bags

We chose the fixed carrier bag because we don’t have to take it off and carry it often. There are also lighter versions of the carrier bag, for example a light and flexible soft bag or a collapsible bag with microfiber. The rain cover is already included and there are numerous accessories and available in every design.

design

Whether monochrome, in muted colors, striped, patterned or also in blue or green or pink, here you have the full selection and will surely find the right design for your Stroller. Here are some examples:

The manufacturer

The company has been based in Germany for more than 65 years, more precisely near the Teutoburg Forest. Teutonia stands for safety, quality and comfort. The brand has been part of the international company Newell Rubbermaid, Inc.

quality & safety

The Mistral frame is a practical, stable aluminum frame that is available in black and silver. The fabrics offer UV protection 50+ according to the Australian standard and are water and dirt repellent. They are all washable at 30 ° C. The quality is checked and monitored by TÜV Rheinland. The GS mark that all Teutonia strollers bear confirms compliance with the requirements for mechanical safety. The DIN EN1888: 2012 standard is met.

handling

We drove with him in the city and in the country and we put him through his paces. The Mistral is a good companion for all surfaces and the little one was comfortable and had enough space. The pack size is larger than the other models, so if you have to fold it up every day, other models are probably more suitable. The handling is easy to steer and is stable. The swivel slide makes changing the direction easy and quick. In some situations, the larger wheels on the front are a real relief.

Our experience with the Teutonia Mistral S

We like that

  • processing
  • Also great on field, forest paths and cobblestones thanks to front and rear wheel suspension
  • reversible handle
  • maneuverable

We don’t like that

  • relatively difficult
  • Folding up takes a little practice

Experiences of other parents

We asked in a survey about the most popular strollers from our more than 100,000 BabyPlaces users and it ended up in the TOP 5. Here are some voices from parents who already with the Mistral S are:

Again and again!
Sabine via BabyPlaces survey
We mostly use the stroller on unpaved roads and don’t have to stow it in the car or carry it up stairs. That is why we did not care about the extra weight – a spacious stroller was more important to us.

A bit difficult, but ok!
