Heavy and solid

The Teutonia Spirit is one of the absolute top models among the increasingly popular tricycle strollers. With its combination of independent wheel suspension, optional handbrake and generous space for the offspring, the sporty stroller is certainly at an upper level of equipment. Also the Customers are full of praise for driving comfort and maneuverability on any surface – but unfortunately it is very difficult.

Large, off-road air (chamber) wheels
The Spirit is intended as an all-rounder that can justify its use in city life as well as on long walks in the park or in nature. The large wheels are responsible for this, whereby the front single wheel can be swiveled. If the exit leads over bumpy roads, snow-covered terrain, forest or gravel paths, the front wheel can also be locked – this makes it easier to maintain the desired course. Particularly positive in this context: Teutonia can equip its children’s carts with optionally available hand brakes, which can be used in mountainous areas for an increase in safety and a controllable delay to downhill stretch guarantee.

Easy maneuvering without effort
A look at the other chassis components reveals the properties of a veritable sedan chair: The combination of independent front and rear wheel suspension and the pneumatic wheels on the rear axle certify that the vehicle is extremely comfortable to drive. The wheels are all ball-bearing, improve driving characteristics and enable maneuvering without great effort. The Spirit is optionally equipped with smooth air wheels or with springy, but at the same time puncture-free air chamber wheels. The manufacturer attaches importance to the fact that the backrest can be adjusted in four positions and therefore makes the Spirit usable from birth. However, with its frame and sports seat, it already shows 14.7 kg on the scales – and is therefore relatively difficult to lift.
