Thailand: Entry and exit regulations
German citizens do not require a visa for stays in Thailand of up to 30 days. In this case, entry is only permitted if, in addition to the passport, which must be valid for at least six months, a confirmed onward or return ticket is presented. This residence permit can not be renewed.
The German child ID card is not recognized in Thailand. Children are only allowed to enter with their own passport. If children are only registered in the parents‘ passport, difficulties may arise when entering the country. Alone Minors require an official consent of the guardian.
German nationals who wish to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days need a visa, which must be issued by a Thai diplomatic mission before entry. For stays of up to 60 days, it is a tourist visa and up to 90 days for a non-immigrant visa. Both can each be extended by 30 days. Extensions are possible in the Thai Bureau of Immigration or at the border crossings.

Traveling with pets
For the owners of dogs and other animals, the question arises when traveling abroad, whether they can take their animals at all in the selected travel country, and if that is possible, then of course raises the question of the applicable conditions. Here you will find, seriously researched by the embassies, the Foreign Office or the ADAC, all important information on this subject.
Pets that are to be imported to Thailand require a public health certificate. This must confirm that the animal does not suffer from any infectious diseases and that it contains information on the sex, race, age and color of the pet.
All pets must be vaccinated against rabies for at least 15 days prior to entry. In addition, it must be ensured that the animal did not come into contact with the rabies in the last three years. All animals must have resided in their country of origin at least six months prior to entry.
Dogs must also be vaccinated against leptospirosis. For Pit Bull Terriers and Staffordshire Terriers, a general entry ban applies.
It is recommended to contact the airport prior to arrival in Thailand to register the pets.
