This is a digital proof in the local language and in english that you have been vaccinated, tested or have recovered. The certificate is issued in paper form free of charge by vaccination centers, doctors’ offices and pharmacies. The proof can then be scanned into the Covpass app using the QR code. The yellow vaccination passport can also still be used. Those who cannot present the certificate on entry must spend ten days in quarantine and then undergo a corona test.

People are considered tested if they can show proof of a negative PCR or antigen test result. For both tests, the result must not be older than 48 hours at the time of entry. Children under the age of six do not have to be tested. To be considered vaccinated, you must have received your second vaccination at least 14 days before entering the country. These corona rules currently apply in italy

In the whole of italy there is currently a minimum distance of one meter and a mask obligation in closed rooms, public transport and in public places. Children under the age of six are exempt from the mask requirement. In the meantime, it is no longer necessary to wear a mouth-nose protection outdoors. However, in Italy, masks must be worn in the car if the passengers are not from the same household. In addition, it may happen that you have to register in beach baths and that fever is measured before entering. On freely accessible beaches, the minimum distance of one meter from other persons must be observed.

Since the age of 6. August a so called "green pass" is necessary for many recreational facilities in italy. If you want to eat indoors in a restaurant, go to a museum, or go to a swimming pool or spa, you must present either proof of vaccination, a negative corona test valid for 48 hours, or proof of recovery. The rules also apply to tourists over 12 years of age. holidaymakers can prove their vaccination with the digital EU vaccination certificate. even if you have only received the first vaccine dose, you are considered vaccinated in italy.

All 20 regions of italy are currently classified as "white zones. This means that many restrictions, such as curfews, no longer apply in the U.S. The mask obligation and minimum distance remain.

This is important for the return journey to germany

Italy is currently not classified as a high risk area by the foreign office. Therefore, vacationers returning home from the sunny country do not need to register before entering germany. However, from 1. august due to the regulation, which the federal cabinet decided on friday: all persons, who travel back to germany, have to prove, that they are tested, vaccinated or recovered – no matter on which way they come back. Children under 12 years of age are exempt.

This must not be older than 48 hours. the yellow vaccination passport or the digital version can be used as proof of a vaccination. The second vaccination must have been administered at least 14 days previously. And for convalescents, the positive result of a PCR test at least 28 days and no more than six months old serves as proof for the return journey to germany. Back in germany, holidaymakers do not currently have to go into quarantine, as italy is not a high-risk area.
