Our objective

In our services, we attach great importance to a clearly structured and comprehensive survey. We consciously take enough time in the first session to get to know them. It is important for us to find out how we can help you. Tooth preservation and dental health is our priority. A detailed dental status as well as an assessment of the surrounding mucosa are indispensable and form the basis for a promising therapy.

All findings and therapies are explained in detail. In support of this we use an intraoral camera and a three-dimensional consulting software.

All practitioners undergo continuous training, which ensures a broad, state-of-the-art treatment spectrum in dentistry. An integral part of our practice philosophy is the continuous training of the entire team.

For a smooth, transparent practice organization and the satisfaction of our patients, we have structured our practice procedures according to the QM guidelines of the Dental Association of Lower Saxony. We work with batch tracking so that every used article of daily use can be assigned to the patient.

Prophylaxis – Professional teeth cleaning for children and adults

Tooth preservation has the highest priority in our practice.

Our prophylaxis program consists of 3 elements:

Professional tooth cleaning
Professional teeth whitening with Philips ZOOM!
Dentcoat – aesthetic protection for pain-sensitive teeth

Dental plaque and the metabolic products of the accumulating bacteria cause tooth decay and inflammation of the periodontium (gingivitis / periodontitis). These pads can not be completely removed by daily tooth cleaning with a toothbrush. Due to this, a PZR (Professional Teeth Cleaning) is recommended at regular intervals.

The final fluoridation remineralizes the teeth and lowers the caries risk. Individual prophylaxis in children is particularly important. Here, the plaque is stained and the children are motivated accordingly for oral hygiene. The toothbrushing technique is explained and the permanent molars are sealed with thin-flowing plastic. The costs of teeth cleaning and fissure sealing of the molars are taken over by the health insurance company for children under 18 years of age.

The prophylaxis treatments are performed by Mrs. Gabi Teuber in our practice. She is trained as a ZMP (Dental Prophylactic Assistant) and qualified according to the dental team. Her loving and calm nature is greatly appreciated by the patients. Many years of professional experience and up-to-date further training underline their competence.

Dentistry

Tooth preservation has the highest priority in our practice.

If it has come through tooth decay to tooth defects, can be remedied by a filling therapy. Incidentally, we rely on state-of-the-art technology for anesthetics, which makes painless anesthetics possible.

This is necessary because otherwise the decay spreads to the tooth nerve and causes inflammation there. Tooth-colored fillings restore the aesthetics of the tooth at the same time.

In case of minor to medium damage of the tooth hard substance, plastic fillings are used. These fillings are filled into the “hole in the tooth” directly in the dental office and harden in the tooth. Various filling materials are available for this purpose.

Plastic (composite):

Plastics are among the new fillers. These are now extremely tried and tested and are always being improved by the dental industry. There are enough long-term studies available.
Plastic fillings provide an aesthetically pleasing restoration of the teeth as the color is selected according to the natural tooth color of the patient.
The filling becomes adhesive, i. attached, attached to the enamel and dentin. For this purpose, a bonding agent (bonding) is necessary. The plastic is incorporated in multiple layers.
Processing plastic is more time consuming than amalgam. The costs are only in individual cases completely taken over by the health insurance. Most supplementary insurances reimburse the additional costs incurred.

We only use branded plastics from leading dental companies that have been clinically proven. We also attach great importance to a high-quality compound (bonding), as this causes the plastic to form a chemical bond with the tooth hard substance. Depending on the filling position and chewing load, we select the appropriate plastic with you. The aesthetics and resilience of the material are in the foreground.

inlays:

An inlay is a filling made by a dental technician. The dentist removes the caries and forms the tooth defect. After the technician has made the inlay in the lab, it is cemented in the mouth by the dentist.
Inlays are made of gold or ceramic. In our laboratory, ceramic restorations are made either by the ceramic pressing process or by the so-called CAD / CAM process. Here, the restoration is made by a computer-controlled milling machine.
Due to the high dental workload, the production of an inlay is associated with corresponding costs.
At the beginning of the treatment you will receive a cost estimate. Many supplementary dental insurances participate in the respective costs.

Tooth-colored plastic-reinforced construction cements (compomers / GIZ sealants):

As part of a complete preprosthetic tooth restoration, these materials are used. If teeth are extensively and profoundly damaged, copomers are particularly suitable for pretreatment. These materials are mechanically strong and tooth-colored.
Subsequently, the tooth is ground for a crown or bridge restoration. The building cements remain as a stable, tooth-colored underfill.

We value a comprehensive caries diagnosis. In the context of prosthetic restoration, an initial preservative pretreatment has proven itself.

Endodontics, manual and mechanical root canal spreading:

The dentist distinguishes between manual and mechanical root canal preparation in endodontics.

In manual reprocessing (with hand instruments), the dentist has a better sense of the course of the root canal.

Machine reprocessing uses nickel-titanium files. Heavily curved channels can be processed with these highly flexible instruments.

The individually suitable therapy will be discussed with you before the start of treatment.

Electrical length measurement / endometry:

The term endometry refers to the electrical length measurement of the root with a special measuring device. This endometrial length measurement is part of every root canal treatment. Measuring the lengths is painless and uncomplicated.

For the long-term success of the endodontic treatment, an exact length measurement and sufficient preparation of the root canal is necessary.

Drug inserts support pain relief and healing:

Only an inflammation-free root canal can be finally filled. For this purpose, the nerve tissue is removed from the root with files and the canal is disinfected with various rinsing solutions (for example sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide or EDTA). In addition, we use ozone flushes. Ozone is a free gaseous radical that is effectively bactericidal (killing effect on bacteria).

Magnifying glasses and draining:

During canal dressing, the canal is drained to prevent contact with saliva or blood. With the help of a loupes finding the channels and a corresponding cleaning of the respective channel is facilitated.

Craniomandibular dysfunction

The human chewing system is a complex system in which teeth, temporomandibular joints and musculature are usually harmoniously matched.

Disorders can cause not only aching teeth, but also tinnitus, head, ear, neck and back pain or teeth grinding. Such complaints are summarized under the term craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD).

To relieve pressure in affected patients, a so-called equilibration bar (plastic splint) is made. The complementary interdisciplinary cooperation with specially trained physiotherapists leads to promising concepts.

We ask you to discuss your concerns and fears with us. Our many years of professional experience has shown that a well-informed patient can overcome his anxiety.

We also offer painless anesthesia using modern technology. With the aid of Calaject, it is possible to inject painlessly. The secret is a smart and gentle administration of local anesthetics. The computer controls the flow rate of the anesthetic and thus prevents pain, which is usually caused by a high speed of injection and subsequent swelling of the tissue.
