When does which U-examination take place? All events at a glance

U7	21st to 24th month of life
U7a	34th to 36th month of life
U8	43rd to 48th month of life
U9	60th to 64th month of life
U10	7 to 8 years (voluntary, ask cost coverage from the health insurance)
U11	9 to 10 years (voluntary, ask cost coverage from the health insurance)

The U-examinations are followed by two youth examinations, the so-called J-examinations, whereby only one is automatically taken over by the health insurance companies:

J1	12 to 14 years
J2	16 to 17 years (voluntary, ask cost coverage from the health insurance)

The preventive medical check-ups are not mandatory, but they are welcome. Therefore, you will also receive a reminder if you do not take part in the age-appropriate check-up with your child in the designated period of the implementation. After the respective check-up, your pediatrician will automatically report the examination to the health insurance company and the office.
