Headache and forehead wrinkles

Reasons for a treatment

Many of our patients tell us they look tired in the mirror, though they do not feel drowsy and energyless. Often they are also addressed, whether they have slept poorly or are ill, do not feel fit or are sad. However, these people do not feel tired or ill in any way and therefore they feel their impact on the environment as stressful.

Many women complain that they can not make up the upper eyelids properly, some patients have skin irritation under the overhanging eyelid skin. Above all, many patients are bothered by the feeling of heaviness, which especially affects reading in the evening. In the case of strongly overhanging eyelids, the field of vision is also limited.

Course of the consultation

The slip >

On the day of surgery, we discuss the procedure with you again. Then we measure the skin surplus exactly and sign it with a special pen.

Following a gentle infusion initiation of drowsing sleep, the skin is disinfected in the operating room, then the area is covered with sterile wipes. Now the actual procedure begins. The excess tissue is removed. The seam is made with very fine threads. After the procedure, wake up gently and be cared for by our friendly nurses and provided with everything you need. About two hours after the procedure you may leave our clinic in company. You will receive the mobile phone number from your doctor, so that you always have a contact person if you have questions.

Gentle treatment in twilight sleep (outpatient)

The eyelid surgery is an intervention that is almost always performed under local anesthesia. At the Dorow Clinic we find that the procedure in Twilight Sleep is even more comfortable for our patients. That’s why we perform almost all surgeries at no extra charge in drowsiness, because the well-being of our patients is our top priority. With twilight sleep (sedation), we know our way, because in our dental clinic, the majority of the interventions gently performed under drowsiness, which is very appreciated by our many patients.

The treatment can be performed on an outpatient basis. Just a few hours after the surgery, we can release you in the company of a trusted person in their usual environment. The results with today’s procedures (skin and muscle removal combined with careful removal of adipose tissue) are very natural and long-term stable. If the surgical technique is properly used, excellent long-term results can be achieved. As a rule, a slip-lid surgery does not have to be repeated. Many patients have an asymmetry of the face. This is then shown on different upper eyelids. In the case of Schlupflidern these are then often pronounced differently. Because the asymmetry may be caused by muscle cramping of the forehead muscles, it is important that your pre-op situation is also performed on relaxed forehead muscles. After the eyel >

Upper lid lifts are particularly painless procedures. Immediately after the procedure there is hardly any pain. Most patients report only a slight pull, which is easily felt for a few days. Due to the low pain, our patients are hardly limited even after the operation. Nevertheless, it makes sense that you take about a week off after a treatment and do not overwork, so as not to impair wound healing. Taking a shower, going for a walk and shopping (possibly with sunglasses) is possible the next day without any problems. For the first 24 hours after surgery, apply moist compresses to the eyelids for comfortable cooling. Of course you will receive these compresses from us. After about a week we arrange a Nachkontrolltermin, where the threads are removed.

The aftercare

We’ll explain exactly when you can shower again (usually after one day), work and exercise, and show them how to care for the scars.

Costs and prices

Safe and serious upper lid lifts are associated with a corresponding effort. A carefully performed intervention by an experienced specialist therefore has its price. With us this includes the costs for the twilight sleep and the aftercare appointments.

Financing the treatment

The installment can be made flexible in principle. Installments of up to six months are even interest-free in the Dorow Clinic.
