Since the utensil consists of an outer fabric and an inner fabric, you need the above. Fabric parts 2 x each.

Step-by-step instructions for sewing a utensil:

1. Cut 2 cotton fabrics measuring 60 x 25 cm (45 x 35 cm). Cut 1 x Vlieseline H250 with the same dimensions. Thanks to the fleece line, the utensilo has good stability and stability. Iron the fleece on the left side of the fabric that will later be on the outside. Then leave the fabric to rest for about 20 minutes so that the adhesive can bond to the fabric in peace.

2. Now put the fabrics together right and right and pin the upper long side together with needles or cloth clips. Now sew the two fabrics together using a straight stitch. Don’t forget to lock at the beginning and end of the seam, i.e. sew back and forth. This will prevent the seams from coming loose later. Flat iron the seam again.

3. Now unfold the fabric and put it together so that on one side the outer fabric and on the other side the inner fabric lie on top of each other on the right. The two seams must lie exactly on top of each other.

4. Pin the 3 open sides. Leave a turning opening of approx. 5 – 6 cm in the area of the later inside fabric (here it is the red fabric) center the short side. Sew the 3 sides together. At the corners you can leave the needle in the fabric that has feet, turn the fabric 90 degrees, lower the foot again and continue sewing.

5. Now carefully cut off all 4 corners without cutting into the seam.

6. Now fold the fabric as shown in the first photo on the top left. Two corners of the same fabric lie on top of each other. Now you have to draw in the four darts, as can be seen in the photo on the right. Mark a 12 cm line at each of the 4 corners. Sew along the line with a straight stitch and then cut the corner at the seam with a distance of approx. 0.5 cm. Cut off all threads.

7. Now turn the utensil through the opening on the right side. Shape the corners. Now you only have to close the turning opening. You do that with a short-edged straight stitch of your sewing machine. If you want it to be particularly accurate, you can close the seam by hand with the mattress or ladder stitch.

8. The fabrics on the upper side of the utensil should now lie as precisely as possible on top of each other. Iron out the edge cleanly. If you want, you can topstitch the edge with a decorative stitch and contrasting thread.

9. Now roll up the edge and your new utensil is ready!
