duration

The training as a nanny takes two years full-time. During this time, a total of 16 weeks of internships (day and block internships) are carried out in daycare facilities for children (kindergartens, daycare centers, etc.).

The vocational qualification according to state law with a middle school qualification (technical college entrance qualification)

is acquired at the end of the training with the passing of a state final exam.

School fees are not charged. In addition to the own share of school books, cooking fees (1.50 euros per week), material money (e.g. for art and works) and copy money (3 cents per copy) are incurred. They are currently involved in child and youth welfare institutions under instruction in the upbringing, education and care of children and support the social pedagogical specialists in their work.

In day care, they work independently and in cooperation with youth welfare. They are qualified for other fields of social pedagogy and social care, with the chance to work independently and independently in other professional contexts.
