If you love nature, you can draw on a wealth of experiences in the month of September during a holiday in the Karwendel: The coloring of the many different deciduous trees enchanted daily in a different color. Only about 200 meters without major gradients, it is from Scharnitz to the Isar origin. This is possible on a bike even with children. It is so beautiful at the Isar origin.

I can recommend you a whole series of traditional events in the Alpenwelt Karwendel around Mittenwald. Every year in September there are the farmers’ weeks. Every weekend there is either a cattle drive to admire or you can be there at another festival that celebrate the Mittenwald. Particularly well-known and popular is the Almabtrieb in Mittenwald.

In September, different fruits are harvested. In addition to apples, pears and apricots, there are especially berry berries on the mountains, also known as blueberries. These can either be eaten right on the mountain and be convinced of the special sweetness or process them at home. This is what Dieter Kurz does. He is a producer of fruit wines.
