Basically I always wanted to do a year abroad. And I was overjoyed when a few months ago this dream became reality step by step. Choosing the destination country was, of course, one of the first things I looked into. Canada had long fascinated me and seemed to promise both good schools and breathtaking nature. It was also very important for me to learn English properly. read more

Work and Travel in France, Paris

With this article I would like to encourage you to do some Work and Travel in France. After the bad events yesterday in Nice, I almost didn't want to write and publish this article, but then I thought that I will do it anyway. now more than ever!

My dream trip through France

Since I've been studying French, I've really got a taste for France. On the one hand, to try out my language skills and on the other hand, to learn a new language. and on the other hand, because it is a great, diverse country. I really only know France from visits and vacations as a child and teenager, so now as an adult I've been wanting to explore France on my own for a long time. On my wish list for a trip around France is of course Paris, the Atlantic coast, the Alps and yes, Nice too, I've always wanted to go there and it stays that way. read more

Travel Diary: Los Angeles Part I | USA Roadtrip

After three days in San Diego, which were unfortunately a bit disappointing, I went on to Los Angeles. To be honest, the city I had the lowest expectations for, although I can't say exactly why…

I knew LA was big, a lot of things were far apart, and I probably wouldn't get very far with my "we'll explore the whole city on foot" approach. Once arrived, we bring the car anyway directly to the airport and were from there with the subway further. And afterwards? First of all, putting the suitcases away, and then of course exploring the city! read more

Travel Diary: O'ahu | Hawaii Part 1

One week in Hawaii – O'ahu to be exact – was the highlight of the road trip through the western USA. After three weeks of spending at most three nights in one place, the prospect of a week in the same hotel was really tempting.

As much as I like to travel, I need a break from time to time. Especially in combination with the farewell from New York it was a bit much at some point. Hawaii and a one week break was just the right thing to do. Even though I had planned to do a lot, it was clear to me: on Hawaii I would first decelerate. read more

Rainbow between trees

Since 2013 there is the Gay Travel Index. The ranking compares more than 190 countries and is meant to give homosexuals an overview of which countries are tolerant, but unfortunately also where it is still dangerous.

No holding hands

Vacation, which means something different for each*n. Some like it adventurous, for others it is pure happiness to hang out on the beach all day long. So it is good that you can choose your own destination. Or? When you read through the Gay Travel Index, the answer doesn't come easily anymore. For example, how free can a homosexual couple still decide on a destination, if there "homosexual behavior", such as holding hands is punished or even punished with death. read more

Travel Diary: One week in Ibiza | Spain

At the end of June it was finally time again – finally vacation! And for the first time in over two years (my last real trip was to Australia in 2019), I didn't just spend it at home or in the local area, but actually finally went on a trip again. And for a week to Ibiza! The island has been on my bucket list forever, and accordingly I didn't mind at all that the choice of vacation destinations is a bit more limited at the moment. I was mainly just looking forward to finally getting out of the city again! read more

Travel Diary: Two days in Cienfuegos | Cuba

After a very relaxed but interesting stay in Vinales, we continue our journey to Cienfuegos, on the south coast of Cuba. Finally we are heading to the sea, even if we will not spend the next two days directly on the beach yet. But first we have the longest drive of our trip ahead of us – first back to Havana and from there south to. Depending on who you ask, the trip can take anywhere from six to eight hours. We stocked up on snacks and drinks to make our ride in the current shared cab as comfortable as possible. read more

It is located on the border between New Brunswick (Canada) and Maine (USA), and is part of the former Canadian province of. Grand Manan Island is the largest island in the Bay of Fundy and probably relatively unknown as a tourist destination, since it is a little off the beaten track. In fact, I had not heard of this island before our tour of Canada. On the 34 kilometers long and 18 kilometers wide island live about 2.500 people. It is quiet here. read more
