Review: Mount Amanzi Resort

Review: Mount Amanzi Resort

Mount Amanzi is an award-winning RCI Silver Crown resort, in the North West province of South Africa.

Arrival:

The crowd at Mount Amanzi on Friday afternoon was testament to its popularity. The car park was full of people arriving. We asked the security guard if it was like that every Friday and he said that it was busier that particular day because of the school holidays. My second thought was that if they were so busy they must be doing something right. I looked forward to see what was on offer. read more

Renewing Global Entry with a Name Change

So Mrs. Island Miler and I recently renewed our passports, which was an easy and straight-forward process. This, even though Mrs. Island Miler was changing her name on it. But renewing Global Entry with a name change has been much more challenging.

The Challenge

But since then, the Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) website and processes have changed since then. For example, you can now update your passport information online when you get a new one. Unfortunately, there isn’t a whole lot of useful information out there for renewing with a name change. read more

Review Of China Eastern Airlines Flight From Vientiane To Seoul Via Kunming

For our flight from Vientiane to Seoul we chose to fly with China Eastern Airlines. We first had to get a flight from Vientiane to Kunming in China, and then a connecting flight to Seoul. I’d only used China Eastern Airlines once in the past (also to Seoul) and had a good experience that time. So I was happy to use them again, despite reading a few negative comments. But most airlines seem to end up with negative comments, so that wasn’t anything necessarily bad. read more
