Get Away Today is one of Disney’s long standing partners- they have worked with Disneyland for nearly 30 years! Their customer service is superb and they offer extreme discounts on tickets — the Get Away Today reviews are consistently extremely positive.
I have been using Get Away Today for my Disneyland vacations long before I began writing for Mickey Visit and have my Get Away Today review for you today. I also frequently use them for Walt Disney World– their services are just as fantastic for Walt Disney World!
Based on my personal experience with Get Away Today, these are the reasons that I believe that the positive Get Away Today reviews are well warranted. I never book my Disneyland vacations with anyone else.

1. Save Money on Your Disneyland Tickets 
I have always saved large amounts of money on my Disneyland vacation by booking with Get Away Today. That’s why saving money is my number one reason for using them!

2. Save Money on Hotels and Get Free Perks 
Not only do they offer discount Disneyland tickets, they also partner with many of the Good Neighbor Disney hotels to offer discount night stays along with other perks reserved specifically for Get Away Today customers. For example, on our last two visits we stayed at the Clarion which is a great budget friendly option to begin with. Because I chose to book with Get Away Today, I received one night free, free parking, and free breakfast for my family. Many of the hotels that partner with Get Away Today will offer perks like free breakfast, free nights, free parking, waived resort fees, and more. When you’re on the Get Away Today website, look at the hotel description to see what perks are offered as the offerings vary by hotel. They also offer discount night stays at the Disney owned property hotels which can be a great way to save money and be close to the magic.
Get Away Today has long standing partnerships and has built positive relationships with their Good Neighbor hotels near Disneyland that these hotels often set aside their best quality rooms for Get Away Today customers. You can ask for certain requests (room with a view, rooms next to each other, etc.) and the hotels will nearly always accommodate your requests.
On our first stay at the Clarion, I asked for a room with a view of the fireworks, and they upgraded us to a deluxe room on the top floor at no extra cost because we were Get Away Today customers (Get Away Today sends a ton of people to the Clarion so the hotel always really takes care of the Get Away Today guests)! How cool is that?
3. Best Prices with No Hidden Fees 
Get Away Today always has the best prices around when it comes to booking your Southern California trip. When I first discovered Get Away Today, I price matched them with every other offering I could find (including Disney!) and they always beat out the competition. There’s a reason they’re so popular and the Get Away Today reviews are so positive.
Some travel agencies will hide their fees and extra costs in miles of fine print leaving many customers with a surprise when it comes time to pay. But Get Away Today doesn’t do that. There are no hidden service fees on buying tickets or hotel packages from them- everything is up front and accounted for.
You aren’t charged for working with their travel agents either- their customer service is just an added perk for all Get Away Today customers.
4. Layaway Plans Offered along with Travel Protection 
One of my favorite things about Get Away Today is the layaway plan they offer for their customers! For just $175 down, which includes the $99 nonrefundable layaway fee, you can put your entire vacation package on layaway including hotel, tickets, and any other extras you add to your trip! Then you can make payments as frequently as you like up until your vacation. As long as your balance is paid in full five days before your departure date, you are good to go.
The Get Away Today Layaway Plan is available for all Get Away Today Disneyland Resort, San Diego, Carlsbad and Universal Studios Hollywood destinations.
I love how this option makes a Disney Parks vacation accessible for middle class families that might struggle with the cost of paying for a vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth up front. The layaway plan makes it easy to plan in advance, reserve your hotel, and then pay as you go up until your trip. My first time taking my son to Disneyland we used Get Away Today and I was able to make payments on our layaway plan for over a year before our trip allowing me the flexibility I needed at the time to afford our first big vacation.
They also offer their Peace of Mind plan which I recommend adding to your vacation if you’re planning on using the layaway plan and plan on booking far in advance. The Peace of Mind Plan is Get Away Today’s version of travel protection. For a $75 fee, you get the flexibility to make any reservation changes (excluding airfare) up to 72 hours before your check-in date without any penalties. The Peace of Mind Plan will waive any change, reschedule or cancellation fees. It must be purchased at the time of booking to qualify.
I usually add the Peace of Mind Plan to my vacation when I book far in advance. You just never know what might come up or if you want to change hotels when you are booking out for months at a time. But if you’re planning a trip that’s right around the corner, you shouldn’t need to purchase it!
5. Get Away Today Services Are Easy to Use 
Get Away Today makes everything really simple and easy for their customers. They just recently switched to electronic delivery of their hotel packages and that makes things even easier! There’s no worry of leaving your hard copy tickets behind.
All you have to do is just make sure you have a copy of your email with your tickets and hotel reservation. You show that to your hotel upon check in and you’re good to go. In the past, I’ve never even had to do that. Usually I just tell them my name and they’re ready for me. As for the Disneyland tickets, they will send you the tickets in your email that you can print and take right to the turnstiles at Disneyland. This is where you will then get your hard copy ticket from a Disneyland cast member. No waiting in a second line when you arrive- you go right to the gate!
It’s also easy to make payments. Once you set up an account, you go in and make your payments online anytime you want on your vacation if you’ve used the layaway plan. You can also call them at 855-GET-AWAY and make payments over the phone.
My experience every single time with Get Away Today has been remarkably stress free and easy. Nothing ever seems overly complicated and all of their services are so user friendly.
6. Get Away Today Customers Receive Up to $300 in Extras 
Get Away Today customers receive other perks besides just the discount Disneyland tickets and hotel stays! They also receive up to $300 worth of printable coupons, lanyards, sling backpacks for kids, and vacation printables.
Once your booking is confirmed you will get an email with your attached coupons for local restaurants nearby Disneyland and in Downtown Disney, entertainment venues, and more. You can print these out and bring them with you to save some extra money. One of the coupons we always use is the 10% off dinner at Naples in Downtown Disney! There’s a huge variety of coupons for restaurants and entertainment in Anaheim, LA, and San Diego.
Upon arrival at your hotel, you will just have to present your Get Away Today voucher (included in the link sent to you at booking with your coupons) to receive a complimentary Get Away Today lanyard for every person in your party and kids’ sling backpack for every child.
