Fausta F.

Hi! Welcome to everybody! I’m Fausta and I have been working as a tourist guide in Milan since 1997.

I’m also official tourist guide of Lake Como, the medioeval town of Bergamo, the longobard town of Monza, and I’m tour leader as well.
Last but not least , I’m a real “local” , since I was born in Milan in 1970 and I’ve seen my hometown growing up, developing and becoming a real European Capital in the last years.
Now, I can see my 3 children (the oldest one is 20 years old) getting the most of it and I can see how many opportunities Milan is giving them as well.

I love my job! I love meeting people coming from different countries, showing them my city and getting to know about their places. I want my guests to discover Milan as travellers, not as tourists. That’s why I’m trying to comunicate all my love and knowledges of Milan to visitors. I’m very proud of my birthtown!

Milan is the most international and open-minded city of Italy. It’s the capital of Italian fashion, interior design, opera (i. e. the Scala operahouse and Casa Verdi where the composer Giuseppe Verdi is buried) and – by the way – also of alcoholic drinks (did you know that the first factory Campari was located at the boundaries of Milan and still nowadays -downtown – we have the historical cafè Camparino?).
Milan was the capital of the West Roman Empire, a renaissance town in XV Cent. (that’s why Leonardo da Vinci lived in Milan 20 years!) , an industrial town at the began of the XX Cent. (ie Pirelli factory), but now Milan has become a contemporary town, for which “archistars” like Zaha Hadid, Daniel Liebeskind , Cesar Pelli, Boeri designed a new skyline or new projects like the Bosco Verticale (Vertical Wood). I’ve seen and do see these changes every single day!

I studied and I am still studying hard to get my several qualifications. I keep on following refresher courses to be able to communicate to everybody the real soul of the northern part of Italy, because I do think that tourism is a right for everybody, no matter what kind of special needs you may deserve or which sense is the best for you to get to know the world.
Regarding special needs or multisensorial tours, do not hesitate to let me know. I’ll prepare the best tailor-made tour according to your needs!
Hoping to see you soon . . . .
