What I am Happiest Doing Outside of Work: Well, since it’s pretty much my life dream to be a mermaid, I am happiest when I am by and/or in a body of water. On hot summer (heck, even spring and fall) weekends, you can regularly find me either at the pool or Lake Hartwell. It’s no Lake Michigan, but it does the trick.
What I do for Self-Care: I practice self-care in a variety of ways. Sometimes it’s being intentional with how I schedule things, setting boundaries and saying “no” (this is a big one!), spending quality time with friends, or going outside to get some fresh air and sunshine. Letting loose on a dance floor every now and then is also pretty necessary for me. But I never forget about the basics – regular meals, hydration, and 8 hours of sleep does the mind/body good.
