When Must I Take the PCR Test for Azerbaijan?
When the test requirement was in place, passengers needed to take the PCR test within 72 hours before boarding a direct flight to the country.
If the journey involved multiple flights, the traveler needed to arrange their PCR test within 72 hours before the last flight directly to Azerbaijan departs.
Does My PCR Test Result for Azerbaijan Need a QR Code?
Travelers could present a negative result without a QR code when entering Azerbaijan.
However, PCR results that have a QR code are generally recommended for international travel.
They will allow border staff to process the paperwork much faster by simply scanning the code to access the information and verify the visitor’s COVID-19 status.
Ultimately, this will mean that the individual will be able to clear immigration and enter the country faster.
Do I Still Need to Take a PCR Test for Azerbaijan if I Am Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19?
A negative PCR test is no longer required to enter Azerbaijan but Foreign visitors over the age of 18 must either be vaccinated or have proof of recovery.
Travelers must present a certificate showing they have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Full vaccination is required and the certificate should have a QR code.
Valid proof of recovery is also accepted.
Do I Have to Take a PCR Test to Visit Azerbaijan if I Have Recovered from COVID-19?
If an individual has previously had COVID-19 and has recovered, they may bring an official certificate to prove this instead of a vaccination certificate.
Passengers with valid proof of recovery do not need to take a PCR test to travel to Azerbaijan.
