Itinerary Cook Island Triangle – 13 days from/to Rarotonga
The Cook Islands are ideal for island hopping. Fly from tropical Rarotonga to Aitutaki and on to Atiu. Dive into the turquoise lagoon of Aitutaki – you will feel like in paradise on earth – and explore the caves and birdlife of the still very pristine island of Atiu, where you will find few other travelers.
Itinerary
1. Day – 5. Day (Sun-Thu): Rarotonga (Start: 11.3 pm; 4x B, 1x A).
During your stay on the main island, enjoy beach life and make friends with the friendly locals. Included in your Rarotonga stay is an island tour, an evening of dancing and dinner.
5 nights: Manuia Beach Resort Premium Garden Suite (hrs.) or Pacific Resort Rarotonga Premium Garden Suite (Sup.) or Pacific Resort Rarotonga Premium Beach Suite (Dlx.).
6. Day (Fri): Rarotonga – Aitutaki (B).
On the one hour flight you will enjoy a magnificent view of Aitutaki, one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world.
5 Overnight: Aitutaki Village Tipani Garden Bungalow (hrs.) or Tamanu Beach Garden Bungalow (Sup.) or Pacific Resort Aitutaki Beach Bungalow (Dlx.).
7. Day – 10. Day (Sat-Thu): Aitutaki (4x B, 1x M).
Snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing – pure relaxation is the order of the day on Aitutaki. As a highlight, take the Lagoon Cruise to One Foot Island (incl. lunch).
11. Day (Wed): Aitutaki – Atiu (B).
Flight to Atiu, the unknown bird and cave island.
2 nights: Atiu Villas Standard Bungalow (Std./Sup./Dlx.).
12. Day (Thu): Atiu.
During your stay you will do an island tour and an interesting cave tour. Get to know another, hidden side of the South Seas.
13. Day (Fri): Atiu – Rarotonga (End: 12.05 h).
Return journey to Rarotonga. Individual onward journey.
The itinerary can be flexibly adjusted taking into account the flight days.

Tips for excursions in the Cook Islands:
Bike tour Story, half day excursion from and to Raro, 58 € per person
Mountain bike tour with many stops at interesting places where you will get insights into the culture. After the effort, you will be rewarded with a picnic lunch and swim at a quiet stretch of beach. Different long tours are available.
Pa’s Trek – Cross Island, half day tour from and to Raro, 52 € per person
This tour takes you into the rainforest and to a waterfall. Choose between the more strenuous Cross Island Trek (Mon/Mi/Fri) across the island and the quieter Nature Tour (Tue/Thu). Both tours with small picnic.
One Foot Island Cruise, day trip from and to Aitutaki, 66 € p.person
Pick up at the hotel in the morning. On board discover the crystal clear lagoon and visit One Foot Island. There you can get a stamp in your passport and send postcards. Enjoy the island while swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing – accompanied by a BBQ and fruits. Snorkeling equipment free of charge.
