The Many Trick and Treats of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

“Candy, trick or treat candy, tastes so good I want another”. That song lyric is so true for the amazing parties at Walt Disney World this year. The party is on select nights in August, September and October from 7pm to midnight. Good news though, once you have purchased your tickets you can actually enter the Magic Kingdom at 4pm! (Bonus – DVC members can enter at 2pm). Be sure to look for the party entrance, usually to the far right. Once inside, you will receive a special bracelet for the night. Those entering before 8pm, get to start trick or treating early and walk through the special Halloween Garden for great photo ops!

One thing I love about the party is how inclusive it is. Food allergies? No problem, grab a teal bag and collect tokens to redeem at the allergy center. At the center, kids (and adults) have a choice of 3 Halloween crafts and 17 treats from cookies to candies. They will fill your teal bag regardless of how many tokens you have. The tokens are to give those trick or treating with siblings something to collect during the night.

Tip: Treat Lines Are Shorter Late at Night

Throughout the night, some enjoy the rides, some the parade and fireworks, others the special character meet and greets while others focus on the food. Tip: Start Your Snacking Prior to 7pm with the Non-Exclusive Snacks

Our checklist is designed is you can start snacking your way up Main Street, head left into Adventureland and work your way all the way around to Tomorrowland. That will make your timing perfect to enjoy Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular and Mickey’s “Boo to You” Halloween Parade!

Tip: The Second Parade is Less Crowded

Here are a few of our favorites as you head up Main Street. The Amuck, Amuck, Amuck Cupcake – what could be better than this deliciousness, peanut butter chips, chocolate candy bits, and toffee filled with caramel sauce! Looking for something a little plainer? The Mickey Shaped Halloween Cinnamon Roll is great. Maybe you have a sweet tooth but the cupcake is too big, the Donald Duck Brownie at Casey’s Corner, is the perfect treat size.

Heading into Adventureland and Frontierland there are so many yummy choices. Just before entering the land, you can grab your Jack or Sally cake pop at popcorn car. We enjoyed the Caramel Pretzel but couldn’t resist starting to collect Hitch Hiking Ghosts with an Ezra Sipper at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn.

The treats were endless in Liberty Square but we had to have the Constance’s for Better or Worse Wedding Cake. This two tiered bit of sweetness is a citrus cake with raspberry Bavarian Cream, white chocolate glaze (it was cool like a sheet of jello but chocolate), flowers and of course a chocolate ax! If you are a Hitch Hiking Ghost fan, this same cart also sells the amazing popcorn bucket!

My mom always said if it’s a party you can have dessert first. As you can see we definitely did. Now that we made it Fantasyland and Tomorrowland we were ecstatic to getour Lots-O-Burger! If you are a Lotso fan you know all Lotso’s smell. This was no exception, they were able to get the Lotso scent with the strawberry-bacon jam. Add in the brie fondue and onion ring and you have heaven on a bun!
