Celebrate the New Year with a Variety of Festivities 
Walt Disney World has plenty to see and do to celebrate the New Year! We recommend picking one park and sticking to it as sometimes the parks can fill to maximum capacity on New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World. Magic Kingdom tends to be a crowd favorite so make sure you are prepared to get there early!
New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom
New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom offers two DJ parties and the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks display.
Frontierland and Tomorrowland New Year’s Celebration Dance Parties each have their own style of beats. You can expect some country favorites in the Frontierland Dance Party and some futuristic beats in Tomorrowland. Both parties will take place on December 30 and December 31, 2019 from 7:00 PM until midnight.
Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks takes place December 30 and December 31, 2019, beginning at 11:50 PM. Additional shows will take place both nights at 6:30 PM.
Ringing in the New Year at Epcot
Epcot has plenty of international fun to offer guests along with a stunning fireworks show.
Celebrations Around the World Showcase allows you to ring in the new year multiple times. As the clock strikes midnight in each country’s respective pavilion, listen for a festive announcement and gaze skyward for a colorful burst of fireworks to appear. You can also expect to see dance parties around the World Showcase to celebrate the fun.
New Year’s Eve Dinner at the World Show Place Pavilion offers a fabulous buffet dinner for guests. Reservations fill up quick and must be paid in advance.
Live Music at the America Gardens Theatre takes place near the lagoon so you can sit and enjoy the music while you anticipate the fireworks.
Enjoy the Epcot Forever fireworks at the World Showcase Lagoon at 11:40PM followed by a countdown to 2020 and a special New Year’s Eve display.
Spending New Year’s Eve at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Last year, Disney’s Hollywood Studios offered a live DJ dance party to celebrate ringing in the New Year. A midnight countdown follows the party with a fireworks display.
Avoiding New Year’s at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
For the first time Disney’s Animal Kingdom will take part in the News Years Eve festivities with themed food, beverages, and a DJ party taking place in Discovery Island, DinoLand U.S.A. and Asia. The park will stay open until midnight on News Years Eve.
The evening will also include special countdown-to-midnight on the Tree of Life!
Disney Springs Entertainment and Cuisine 
While there may be no fireworks shows in Disney Springs, there is plenty of live entertainment and fine dining to enjoy ringing New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World.
The Edison put on a fantastic New Year’s Eve celebration last year and we expect this year will be no different! There is plenty to see and do in Disney Springs and New Year’s Eve is no exception. Disney Springs is also a great option for adults that are looking for a more refined New Year’s Eve experience.
Disney’s Rooftop Celebration Events
There are a few great ticketed options available at the Disney Resorts to celebrate the New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World.
Mezzanotte at Topolino’s: An Italian Masquerade is an elegant European inspired event held at Disney’s Riveria Resort. Enjoy a DJ, champagne toasts and traditional musicians and vocalists from the Italian Riviera along with buffet displays, food stations, à la carte tapas and more.

Bienvenidos 2020! New Year’s Eve at Toledo’s is a rooftop fiesta party featuring Spanish vibes of a flamenco guitarist or the lively beat of a rocking DJ, Spanish cuisine and libations, photo ops with Mickey and Minnie, and a rooftop view of the fireworks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Top Tips for a Magical New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World
New Year’s Eve is one of the most popular days of the year at Walt Disney World. It’s good to plan ahead so you can have the most magical experience.
- Make sure to make dining reservations in advance especially for parties so your evening dinner is secured.
- Read the fine print- some of the New Year’s Eve celebration dining requires a 48 hour cancellation instead of the usual 24 hours.
- Annual Passholder and Tables in Wonderland discounts do not apply for special dining celebrations.
- Disney Dining Plans are accepted at most dining options but not for the parties.
- Set aside extra time to grab your spot if you plan on watching the fireworks in the parks. The fireworks are always busy any time of year but especially on New Year’s Eve!
- Show up early in the day so you can enjoy attractions before the crowds arrive.
- Spend your afternoon enjoying entertainment options and your evening enjoying dinner and fireworks. The attraction lines will be long, long, long in the evening so your time is better spent reserving your spot to watch the fireworks.
- Bring your patience! Crowds can be stressful but remember- you’re at the most Magical Place on Earth!
