Field Guide Level 1

Review 55 day Level 1 Course September 4 – October 28 2014 Selati and Mashatu Camps.

As an admittedly worldly-naive 18 year old, I was quite nervous to arrive in Africa for the first time by myself. After a long red-eye flight I was also deliriously tired and needed a long sleep before heading off to the bush the next day. Thankfully, they had helped me arrange my stay at the Emerald Guest House in Johannesburg and assured me that it was perfectly safe. The booking was easy, it wasn’t too expensive, and the facilities were nice, so I slept easy that night. read more

Family Travel Tips: How to Avoid the Dreaded “Are We There Yet?” with Kids

Family Holidays in Verbier

Family fun in Les Arcs

Family Holidays in Verbier

Verbier has a reputation of being a winter playground for the rich and famous, with its large and varied ski area, luxury ski accommodation, and extravagant nightlife. It can however, also be a great place to take the family.

Most unusually for a ski resort, children under eight ski for free (it is normally under five), and there are substantial lift pass reductions for children aged between eight and 14. Teenagers will love the cool and glamorous vibe of Verbier, and the ski area has terrain suitable for every level. The resort has amazing hotels, chalets and apartments to stay in, some of which are ski-in/ski-out. We are talking real luxury here, with quintessential wooden finishes, lavish interiors and high-end service. Better value accommodation can be found in the outlying villages of Nendaz, Le Châble and La Tzoumaz, and as they are all connected to the main ski area, the only compromise you have by doing this is missing out on the lively late night après-ski that Verbier offers. read more

I suggest you bring Gage with you, since many companions do not like working with Raiders. You can find an exit into the wilder areas of the park to the east of your headquarters in Nuka Town, USA. read more
