How to become a pro among travel photographers

Taking pictures while traveling is so much fun for you too? And yet sometimes very similar photos come out. We tell you a few tips and tricks how your vacation photos become a real eye-catcher.

Early bird and all that..

Pictures become especially beautiful when early in the morning or in the evening the play between light and shadow softens and the colors flow into each other. At midday, the sun is high and the light is harsh – not an ideal time to take photos. In concrete terms this means: Get up early! For sunrises it is worth to crawl out of the feathers early in the vacations. Not only the light dips your motive into a golden shimmer, still in addition no groups of people are in the way. You can photograph the sights in peace and avoid umbrellas, tour groups or sun hat tourists on the picture. read more

Australian etiquette: The right way to behave at the other end of the world

Compared to many other countries, Australia is relatively relaxed – this applies to the general attitude of most locals as well as to the social interaction with each other. In contrast to Asia, tourists in Down Under rarely put their foot in their mouth. But just because everything is so "loose" there, it doesn't hurt to know where the limits of looseness are in Australia either. Because you don't want to out yourself as an uptight tourist. And despite all the looseness, there are also a few real taboos in Australia. The general Australia etiquette guide is intended as a helpful guide for German-speaking tourists and business travelers. read more

The high season lasts from May to October – the weather is warm with very little rain, but there are many visitors during this time of year, so book your accommodations in advance. April and November are good times to visit Bora Bora – the weather is perfect and there are fewer visitors during these two months. Low season is between December and March; the weather is wet and while there are fewer visitors, there are mosquitoes. Photo: BlueOrange Studio / Fotolia read more

Akemi Tsunagawa is an entrepreneur, founder and CEO of the world's first AI-powered chatbot. The 33-year-old entrepreneur's career path is impressive. Akemi Tsunagawa is one of only 15 percent of women in leadership positions in Japan. Here's how Tsunagawa, a remarkable visionary, is acting with her AI chatbot not only as a pioneer in emergency and crisis communications, but also as a symbol of equality and women in leadership positions. In 2015, Akemi Tsunagawa, a young Japanese woman, founded Bebot with a startup capital of 200.000 Euro Bespoke. The startup is betting on an AI-based chatbot for the tourism industry. The user base is growing rapidly, but crises such as earthquakes, tsunamis and, currently, the Corona crisis, require new approaches. "All the customers we communicate with have different problems, but I think emergency communication is number one because there is no other digital solution for it on the market," Tsunagawa says. We wanted to know more and asked Akemi questions about her motivation, intention and vision. read more
