CES: Leading automakers are betting on Mobileye

Volkswagen Group uses maps for driver assistance systems, Ford and Zeekr announce new Mobileye-based series projects.

Highlights:

  • Together with VW, Ford and Zeekr, Mobileye announces new programs at CES 2022 based on Mobileye's technologies for mapping, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles (AV).

Getting to Koh Mak, especially during the main tourist season, isn’t as difficult as you might imagine. The speedboats to the island depart from mid morning to mid afternoon.

From Bocas del Toro (Panama) we went to Puerto Viejo (Costa Rica). After a 25 minute boat ride from Isla Colon, it takes a few more minutes by bus to reach the border to Costa Rica, which we crossed on foot after successful immigration. On the other side of the border in Costa Rica we took a shuttle bus to Puerto Viejo, our first destination in Costa Rica. After a little more than 3 hours and several banana plantations later, we finally arrived in Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. read more

Our tips for long-distance hiking with older children and teenagers

We have always been happy to hike, even when our children were small. But admittedly, in the young years of our parenthood, hiking was always a daytime activity that rarely went beyond this framework. Hiking with (small) children over several days requires sophisticated logistics regarding the transport of equipment, which, with two children of approximately the same age, became a criterion for us to exclude such an undertaking. Of course – one or the other reader will surely contradict now – the distance hiking is also possible with small children, namely if one has basically fixed accommodations, like huts ect., hikes. However, we didn’t really enjoy the experience of hut tours even without children, which is why this was never really an option for us with young children. read more
