"Juhu – Urlaub!" – As much as the children are happy about their two-month break from everyday school life, it seems difficult for working parents to have a great and pleasant time for the child and for themselves. With these camps and childcare facilities in Vienna, the whole family can relax and enjoy the summer.

Summer City Camp and Summer School

The Summer City Camp is a summer vacation program organized by the City of Vienna. Exercise, nature trips, cult experiences and workshops in the field of technology are part of this program. The summer school also caters for pupils who need support in various school subjects during the holidays. Children with disabilities also receive professional care and can also take part in great holiday weeks!

In the Summer City Camps, exercise is on the program every day, but other great leisure activities await your children.

The summer school is for all those who had a "sufficient", "not sufficient" or "not assessed" in German, math or English and would like to review the school content again during the holidays. The courses last two weeks and are offered to students who are in the 5th to 8th grade.

Great care is also offered for children with disabilities at special locations. The children are picked up with a travel service and brought back home with them. You can find more information here.

Cool summer

The organization "Children in Vienna", or KIWI for short, is again providing your children with great holiday care this year. Fun, action, play, creativity and sport are on the agenda here. Weekly new topics are in the foreground: there is a week in Vienna, a creative week, a week around nature, technology and experimentation and a sports week is also on the schedule.

In Vienna Week, all children aged 6 to 11 are invited to get to know the capital better. Culture and cuisine are presented in a playful and varied way and together with others the children go on a journey of discovery through Vienna. The Vienna Week takes place in the 1st week of July and August.

The creative week is for all those children who love to develop painterly, creatively and musically. With various workshops and fun excursions, your child will definitely not be bored. The creative week is from July 8th to July 12th and from August 5th to August 9th.

During the week in which nature, technology and experiments take center stage, research is carried out, invented and new things discovered together with other children and the day care teachers. From July 15th to July 19th and from August 12th to August 16th you can immerse yourself in the world of nature and technology.

In the weeks from July 22nd to July 26th and from August 19th to August 23rd everything is all about sport: It is no secret that exercise is fun, but that it is even more fun with other children, it will be yours Find out kids at the latest in the sports week!

The cost per week is € 120 per child. From 2 weeks booked one costs € 110. Meals are already included here. The booking is made weekly.

Holiday action day care center with day care

The Activities team organizes varied holiday care in the 20th and 21st district of Vienna. A program tailored to the age offers the children great vacation weeks, during which they can work out and enjoy the vacation together with their peers. Ball, motor skills and creative games are on the schedule every day. For sports and all other activities, a qualified team of carers is responsible for your child’s safety.

The day camp can be booked for everyone between the ages of 6 and 14 and also for half a day. The cost for all-day care is € 139 per week, for half a day (until 12 noon daily) the week costs € 84. It is also possible to provide meals during these days: 45 € for full-day care, 35 € for half-day care.

Children’s art weeks in the Belvedere and Belvedere 21

Living out creatively is the best thing for your child? Then you are definitely in the right place at the Children’s Art Weeks in Belvedere and Belvedere 21! Under the supervision of experienced art educators, your children can go on fun art adventures with others. The new works of art are created with wool, paints or stamps, which will come straight into your children’s head. Instant cameras with sound are also on site and can be used for creative purposes!

In addition to art technology workshops motion games outdoors, in the castle park and Swiss garden, a great active change. To end the creative week perfectly, a family finissage will take place on Friday from 3:15 p.m. The children’s art award is given here and you can celebrate and fill your stomach at the buffet.

The workshop takes place on Monday and Tuesday in the Lower Belvedere, from Wednesday to Friday the Children’s Art Weeks take place in Belvedere 21. Snacks and a warm lunch are provided on site. All children from 7 to 11 years can participate in the workshop for € 270.

Outdoor adventure & English with learning events

Learning Events has been offering language courses, summer camps, workshops and group tours for children, teenagers and even adults for 12 years. Experience outdoor adventure in the summer workshop your Children speak English in everyday language life, do great scientific experiments and can actively live outdoors.

All children between the ages of 6 and 15 are invited to attend the workshops from July 1st to July 5th or from August 5th to August 9th. English is spoken primarily in the camp. However, no prior knowledge of the language is necessary, the team helps out with difficulties in understanding.

The camp is in the Purkersdorf nature center, so it offers plenty of space in nature to let off steam and have fun. At the end of the week, on Friday, there will be a closing event at 15:00, at which the whole family and friends like to come.

Lunch is also provided: for € 35 a week, your child will have fresh lunch delivered by Gasthaus Maria Brunn. Of course you can also bring a good snack yourself. It is equally important to have a drinking bottle with you, which can then be refilled on site. One week costs 250 € per child.
