BOOKS BY SONJA ZERNICK-FÖRSTER

Sonja Zernick-Förster is now a book author. In the last 2 years Sonja has published a parent-child yoga book and now a specialist and practical book on the subject of fascia and yin yoga.

Yin Yoga is fascia yoga and thus the ideal method to keep our connective tissue supple, to tighten the figure and to become painless. To be able to stretch the fascia properly, the use of aids is essential, even for advanced practitioners. It is only with the help of cushions, pillows, blocks and straps that we enable our body to let go of the muscular tension completely – the prerequisite for effectively training fasciae. The yoga teacher Sonja Zernick-Förster therefore places great value on these aids in her Yin Yoga classes and shows in her new book in which variations beginners and advanced learners can use them for optimal fascia stretching. The Yin postures are clearly illustrated and provided with information and illustrations on the respective fascia.

The first book was also published by SüdwestVerlag. "Come on, we do yoga – the most beautiful exercises for parents and children" was published in 2013 and has been sold many times. In this book, she introduces family yoga partner exercises that parents and children can do together, which are particularly suitable for children aged 5-11. The exercises are packaged in 7 chapters, playfully packed into a magic forest story and illustrated with beautiful photos and drawings in a vivid and child-friendly way.

Each chapter ends with a common relaxation exercise, e.g. B. Fantasy trip, massage or partner meditation, which is also given on the enclosed CD.

In the back part of the book there are exercises that help children with typical everyday problems. Here you will find practical instructions against homework stress and tension, all kinds of pain, discomfort, fatigue or over-the-topness and sleep disorders. Not only the children themselves, but also parents, educators, teachers and everyone who deals with children will find valuable tips. There is also a soothing and relaxing facial massage for young and old.
