Leasing or installment loan: alternatives when buying a car

The classic form of car financing is still the car loan. Two very interesting options are available here:

Classic financing

the classic financing corresponds to the classic installment loan with a term of up to 96 months. If you prefer long-term financial planning, you can opt for this option with an effective annual interest rate linked to the financing term. The monthly installments remain unchanged at the level agreed at the outset for the entire term of the loan. This type of loan is ideal, for example, for anyone who changes their vehicle at regular intervals and plans to spend a certain amount on the car in the long term.

The budget financing

The second option is budget financing with a short term of 60 months and financial flexibility. Because this form of financing presents itself as a car loan, which offers you additional freedom through low monthly installments during the term and a higher final installment. Especially if you need to finance a new car or used car on the spur of the moment. In this case, you benefit from the low rates during the credit period. You can then choose from the following options for the final installment:

Returning the vehicle to the dealer, if this has been agreed upon.
Financing the final installment at particularly favorable conditions.
Cash payment of the final installment

Car leasing as a variant to the installment loan

For both used car financing and new car financing, car leasing is an option. In cooperation with the automobile banks, we offer two different options for private and commercial customers.

Mileage leasing based on the agreed mileage
Residual value leasing with agreed residual value at the end of the term

If you know your monthly or annual mileage, this leasing option is an interesting alternative. When you conclude the leasing contract, you already agree on an annual mileage with us, which serves as the basis for calculating the monthly leasing rate. If you exceed this mileage, you will be subject to a subsequent charge that was already agreed upon when the contract was signed. If you fall short of the agreed mileage, you will receive a refund. The advantage of mileage leasing is the elimination of the residual and marketing risk.

Alternatively, we offer residual value leasing as a car leasing option. In this case, the monthly leasing rate is calculated from several factors that influence the condition of the vehicle until the end of the leasing period. The residual value must match the value of the vehicle at the end of the agreed period.

Both leasing forms are particularly suitable for new cars.
