The playground Lehener-Park lies in the middle of extensive areas framed by old trees. It is one of the most beautiful playgrounds in Salzburg. The park can also be easily reached via the cycle path along the Salzach river. Spacious parking areas and flat paths invite you to take a walk.

Since May 2014, a new drainage system has been in place to prevent gatch, dirt and puddles of water. In cooperation between the municipal garden office and the road and bridge authority, drainage shafts with drainage to the surface channel were installed. The playground in the middle of the city is rainproof and now even more varied.

In the course of the work, the playground was rebuilt, new play equipment was purchased and the site was remodeled. A large climbing scaffold, a sand construction site and a double swing for small children are now the attractions. A hexagonal sandbox and a wooden train are also available for the youngest visitors. The existing slope slide has been upgraded in terms of safety and an additional small children’s slide has been installed.

And even the “big ones” didn’t come away empty-handed during the redesign. The existing Street Ball area was enlarged and equipped with an additional basket. Now matches can also be played there. Size: 29,800 m²Other special equipment: volleyball, streetball (basketball), play/drinking water, WC
