Editorial recommendations
- New 2019: Exclusive view into the Ottakringer Brewery
The Ottakringer Brewery has conceived an exhibition exclusively for the Long Night of the Museums: numerous historical pictures and exhibits of the brewery are on display, which cannot be seen during regular guided tours. The brewing process and production, both past and present, are also brought closer to visitors. Tastings are also included!
. we recommend a visit to the museums with tastings. First something sweet for the sweet tooth, then a digestif for digestion.
Chocolate MuseumDemel MuseumAlt-Wiener SchnapsmuseumSchlumberger Kellerwelten
Long night of chocolate: Strolling through the chocolate shop theatre at night and snacking chocolate – this is a dream experience not only for sleepwalkers!
. the route along the shuttle bus line 4 (organized by the Long Night of the Museums) is ideal. This starts at Maria-Theresien-Platz and goes via the stations Schottentor, Währingerstraße/Volksoper and Hernals. On this route you will find the following museums:
Sigmund-Freud-MuseumWiener RettungsmuseumPathological-anatomical collection in the NarrenturmJosephineumDental Museum ViennaAustrian Museum of Pharmacy and Druggists
Attention: During the Long Night of the Museums, the Chocolate Museum and the Demel Museum are usually very crowded. Also in the Albertina there is always a big rush!
