Lake Wörthersee is the largest lake in Carinthia and one of the warmest alpine lakes in the country. Bathing, swimming, diving, water skiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, a round with a banana boat and much more – the lake rarely rests quietly in summer. Experienced water sports enthusiasts are of course also at the ideal place in Pörtschach to hoist the sails on the boat or surfboard. A wide range of leisure activities is also offered away from the lake. You can hike 55km along the Wörthersee-Rundwandweg and enjoy the view to the many impressive peaks of the Karawanken. Roll comfortably through the landscape or explore the lake and its surroundings in a sporty way. The Wörthersee region is full of surprises for cyclists. You can get to know the region around Lake Wörthersee in all its diversity by bike.

The Parkhotel Pörtschach is THE designer hotel in the style of the 60s from the entrance to the room furnishings to the door handles and ceiling lamps. Many stylistic elements such as the elevator, the stairs, the hotel bar and the reception have been preserved in their original form. In the mild climate on the sunny south side of the Alps, the golf season starts a few weeks earlier and lasts a little longer. In addition there is the fantastic location between majestic mountains and crystal clear bathing lake. The golf course Moosburg is about 2km away from the hotel. With its slightly hilly landscape and many small ponds and ponds, this beautiful course was awarded the “Premier European Golf Course”.
