Parent blogs are now like sand by the sea, but I think there are only a few that are really worth a visit if you are looking for good information. Today I would like to introduce you to parent blogs and sites for parents, where you can find really valuable and useful information and tips and not just self-adulation, sponsored posts and supposed product tests.

Behind many blogs that I would like to read and recommend to you are women who really know what they are writing about because they do something professionally with children, pregnant women or families. And then there are female journalists who simply know how to write and research. Here is the first part of my blog pearls – part 2 will follow shortly.

I would like to recommend the pregnant women blog of Jana Friedrich to all pregnant women. Jana comes from Berlin, is a midwife and mother of two children. She has been on her blog since three Years of knowledge and experience in pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. I particularly like the birth reports, which Jana comments and classifies expertly.

For all mothers who want to breastfeed their child or are currently breastfeeding, I recommend Stillkinder.de. The blog is operated by Regine Gresens from Hamburg, who is a midwife, breastfeeding consultant and alternative practitioner for psychotherapy in Hamburg. There you will find competent advice and help with problems and questions of any kind. Regine also has a lot of interesting facts about breastfeeding. The breastfeeding reports are also helpful, they show, that a long, happy breastfeeding relationship is possible even with problems and starting difficulties.

If you still want to travel with children, maybe even far away, you are in good hands on the Kids Away page, the online travel magazine for families was launched five years ago of the Journalist Kerstin Führer founded. At Kids Away you will find all the information that is relevant for planning a trip with a baby or child, inspiring travel reports from other parents and a travel forum where you can exchange ideas with other parents.

Not visually appealing, but full of well-researched content is the blog with the somewhat bulky name Desired Child by Katja Seide and Danielle Graf from Berlin. Katja aka Snowqueen is a special education teacher and mother of three children, including twins, Danielle has two children. The two write very well-founded, but extremely long articles, on education, development, nutrition and health of babies and children. The table of contents is helpful to find your way around the already very extensive blog. A very good blog, for everyone who wants to find out everything in depth. If you are just looking for information quickly, this is not the right place.

If you are interested in bond-oriented education, growing up safely is a good starting point. Susanne Mierau, breastfeeding consultant, baby massage course instructor, toddler educator, family companion and naturopath and mother of two children writes in her blog about her bond-oriented path. Above all, she wants to give parents one thing: trust in their own feeling. "Because that’s what it’s all about being a parent," says the Berliner. Especially the category Waxing safely is recommended. Mareice Kaiser, a journalist from Berlin, has two daughters, one of whom has multiple disabilities.

With the Empress Empire, she wants to increase the visibility of families with disabled children and report on her worries and happiness. In her inclusive family blog, she talks about her everyday life – honestly and realistically. A great blog, not just for parents with disabled children!
