Complaint-little to no interest of the portal!

As already described in some previous reviews, I have also made these negative experiences with this provider.
In the first week of October 2021 I made a complaint about a service item documented in the voucher (rental contract) which was not fulfilled by the landlord on site.After several unsuccessful queries, I was informed that the matter would be sent to the " rentalcars" operator at the beginning of november.Com" was forwarded. In the last few years I have often booked rental cars abroad via billiger mietwagen – also because it is very easy to do online and with apparently high service. But last time it went thoroughly wrong. The rental car was reserved for catania airport, my actual rental company was called argushire, a company based in ireland. They in turn hired a subcontractor called surprice car rentals in catania. Billiger mietwagen has also taken out an insurance policy with AXA on my behalf, which covers the excess in the event of a claim.

In catania, the rental company should provide a shuttle service to the office of the rental car company, which is about 3 km away, but no one answered the phone. I took a cab and drove to the address given – a nasty backyard in the industrial area – where I was told to leave, they had no car for me and my rental company arguscar should have called me. So I went back by cab for 30 euros, tried to contact cheaper rental cars and rented a car at the airport – same class, for three times the price.

A day later called back cheap rental car and said they had after the termination of the contract an online workflow, after which my complaint and receipts should enter. That was it.

Since then cheap car hire has told me to be patient, they can’t expedite the case and that my rental company from ireland would get back to me.

Cheap Car Rental does not provide legal protection for its customers (formally they do not have any) in case of defect or inferior performance. This is a pity, because how should a customer claim his right with a manageable amount of dispute, if these companies are located somewhere abroad. Practically impossible at least not at reasonable cost.

Well, dear cheap rental car, you have done everything right, but I will not use your services in the future. Can you understand this?

the telephone number for the shuttle bus given in the voucher was not in use, the address given turned out to be fallow land and in the end I had to rent a rental car from another hirer for three times the price. The intermediary companies were also arguss car hire in ireland and the non existent company targetrent 6 km outside the airport in cinisi ( i booked on 16.10. We have rented a car through billiger-mietwagen.De booked a 4-seater convertible and also received a voucher and the rental documents for it. When we wanted to pick up the car, there were only two-seater convertibles and we had to change to a much more expensive class.

From cheaper-rental-car.De was assured me still on the spot that the difference will be refunded. Now I have submitted all the documents and now they keep asking for new documents and the same papers over and over again and especially at the end they ask for account statements of debits that have not been made at all but under a completely different name but the transactions and amounts match. For me, this is just an extra trick to soften me up so that I give up.

I have rented a car in november with billiger-mietwagen.De booked, on the recommendation of a friend, for a week in portugal, in december. After the first search, the prices seemed unrealistically low and I wondered if it was trustworthy. In the end I decided to accept the offer for 50€. rented via car del mar from the local rental company centauro.

I have called the free customer hotline of billiger mietwagen a total of 3 times and also booked through them. The staff on the phone was very friendly and patient and answered every question very accurately.

I just had to realize that billiger-mietwagen was the intermediary to cardelmar where the car and insurance packages were booked and the actual rental company was centauro in portugal.

Accordingly, billiger-mietwagen had done his job to my complete satisfaction, that we got uncomplicated the cheap car with the booked insurance.

We didn’t get the car at the counter and we fought the whole vacation with the customer service, who didn’t want to understand that we wanted our money back. Even after our vacation, we called the customer service and they just won’t give us our money back. Now legal steps actually have to be taken.

I have last year and two weeks ago each a rental car at billiger-mietwagen.De and both times I wished afterwards that I had booked somewhere else.

The first time was in italy. We booked a rental car for three weeks, and after landing at the airport were told to call the local rental car agent to pick us up at the airport and take us to the rental car.
