Nowhere is there such an abundance of theme and amusement parks as in Orlando. Four Disney theme parks alone, the Universal Islands of Adventure and the Universal Film Studios, plus other smaller and larger attractions are available.

tip: The Volcano Bay water park, which opened in 2017. The entrance to the water park is only a 5-minute walk from your Universal’s hotel!

Also worth visiting is the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, about 85 km from Orlando, since 50 years the gateway to space. Meet real astronauts, see gigantic rockets and experience up close the history of space travel. Your children will be amazed!

Driving day. To get an immediate impression of the atmosphere of this laid-back city, don’t miss taking a water taxi ride. A stroll along the "Las Olas Boulevard", which is lined with small shops and restaurants, is also recommended. In the world’s largest outlet mall Sawgrass Mills you are guaranteed to find the right thing for you and your family among numerous bargain offers. Or you can simply use the day to relax on the white sandy beach, build sand castles or swim.

A trip to Miami Beach, just 55 km from Fort Lauderdale, should also be on the program. Miami captivates with wide sandy beaches and the boulevards of South Beach lined with numerous Art Deco buildings.

tip: A trip to the Everglades National Park! A piece of original Florida is on that Tamiami Trail to find that leads across the Everglades. It is also interesting to stop at the Safari Park, where excursions by propeller boat are offered. The swamp area is home to alligators, ibises, manatees, pelicans and pumas.
