Day 1 – overview

After arrival and a delicious lunch in our restaurant, check into your family suite, and then an exciting one will start treasure Hunt through the beautiful nature of the Fynbos and the Milkwood Forest. In the early evening there is an advanced children’s menu. A little later you look forward to a multi-course dinner for two, while your children have a lot of fun in our supervised play room.

Day 2 – overview

Start the day bright and early as the children head to the small farm next to the stables to collect their eggs for breakfast. After breakfast, visit the beach where children will learn about inter-tidal zones and see a stone-age cave. Then it’s time for a delicious picnic lunch as you explore rock pools and spend time playing in the sand. In the afternoon, return to the lodge for a pony ride in the paddock. That evening, kids can enjoy a special dinner in the playground, followed by a fun night walk as they discover frogs in the area. Then it’s time for the adults to relax with another delectable dinner while their kids are cared for.

Day 3 – overview

On the third day, the anticipation of the little ones is usually huge. After coffee and snacks we drive to the port of Kleinbaai. This is where the exciting boat trip begins and you can experience dolphins, penguins, seals, sharks and whales up close (whales between June and December). After a brunch at the lodge, plant a family tree on the reserve. Afterwards, relaxation, a light lunch and a historical tour are announced, which will take you into the life of the Khoisan, the South African indigenous people. You and your family can end this exciting day with a dinner under the stars.

Day 4 – overview

In the early morning, the children collect their own breakfast eggs for the last time in the chicken coop and help them feed the small animals and horses after breakfast in the stables. Afterwards, the journey continues with many memories of a great time together.

Accommodation in free-standing, luxurious suites with forest or sea views.

Enjoy delicious breakfast buffets including full English breakfast, light lunches and a 6-course menu in the evening. Drinks are not included in the price.

horse riding

Riding excursions for inexperienced and experienced riders through the reserve (please note that the maximum weight is 90kg / 198lbs per person). Children under the age of 12 may only take part in guided pony rides.

Guided hikes through the reserve

Go on guided fynbos and milkwood nature tours with our guides. Alternatively, we provide maps of the reserve and the area for your own explorations.

Excursions into nature, to the sea and along the coast

Explore the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, De Kelders Cliff Walk, and the Klipgat Cave – combined with land-based whale watching (from July to mid-December). You’re welcome note You that we can not guarantee the sighting of whales.
