“Grand theft auto remastered”: probably trilogy with “gta iii”, “gta vice city”& “gta san andreas”

A new "grand theft auto", that would be something: "GTA V" was first released in 2013, back then still for the PS3 and xbox 360. Improved editions for the PS4 and xbox one followed. Even the PS5 wants to be happy with the long-running game. When a successor could appear, is in the stars. But after there were rumors about three games in the last weeks, which rockstar games wants to remaster, it is now more concrete: it should be about "GTA III", "GTA vice city" and "GTA san andreas" from the PS2 era.

Who now hopes for a remake a la "mafia", but will probably be disappointed. There should remain remasters, which improve the graphics and the interface slightly. The new editions of the "grand theft auto" games from the PS2 era will possibly be released at the end of 2021. The titles are of course planned for the PS4 and xbox one (and thus via backwards compatibility also the PS5 and xbox series X|S) as well as the nintendo switch and probably also other platforms such as google stadia, the PC and even mobile devices with android and apple ios. The variants for PC, smartphones and tablets might be released later. Not until 2022.

The basis of the remaster is the unreal engine. The outdated graphics now remind me of the PC versions of the open world games as they looked with many mods. rockstar dundee is said to be primarily responsible for development. The "GTA remastered trilogy" will probably only be available as a bundle with all three titles and only digitally. internally, a remaster of the first "red dead redemption" is also said to be under consideration. But its future depends on how well the "GTA" remaster sells.

I have played all the mentioned titles in their PC versions and especially loved "GTA vice city" and "GTA san andreas". I wonder if I would play another round? There are just too many new titles. How is it with you?

I would like to play it again sometime. Depending on the price I would probably do it.

It’s been a few days since you’ve played this one.

Vice city was a bit of a blast from the past. As a child of the 80s a gaming dream, which I still "play" from time to time because of the memory.

Too bad, I would have hoped for a remake in GTA V graphics and quality.

HAHA that was good, then rockstar would have to work yes. Why should they do that when GTA 6 is the priority or. Online?

There is a next gen version coming out in the fall! With better graphics.

Vice city on the switch? Is bought&

Vice city was for me the best GTA ever. Sure, GTA 3 was the big kick in the genre back then, but in vice city it was so pleasantly fun and relaxed, plus the scarface music on the ears and the sunshine state feeling. I always found the best.

GTA 4 was new york again and therefore more serious and sand andreas and GTA 5 I didn’t like either of them because I find los angeles the worst as a city base. The city is not very nice and built up in real life and in the game as well. Either the serious new york of GTA 3/4 or just fun in miami. I would also like to see this again for GTA 6.

The vice city feeling is also the best to what rockstar builds up there with their monetizations and crazy cahrakteren.

The best thing would be if they would make a really serious, not ironically overdrawn GTA. But there is the target group too small and honestly – I think they can not either. Went wrong with max payne 3, although the series was rather serious and dark until then.

Since I didn’t own a console or a suitable PC in the past, but now own a nintendo switch, I can imagine buying the bundle. For me, these are still unplayed worlds. A few more years, then I can vll finally play GTA V&

The games were great and had their time. But every GTA I play through only once. The atmosphere is great the first time. It’s missing too much the second time, when everything looks familiar then.
That’s why I don’t think much of a remake.

Must admit I’m curious, but I’m still skeptical about the execution. Over the years many things have been changed, especially in the direction of music. If they manage to offer the original versions as I know them from the PS2 then it can be interesting.

But if it flops like the san andreas "remaster" did on the PS3, you can safely avoid it.

As andre writes in the last paragraph, there are just a lot of new and good titles. Will probably not access. For people who have not played the games it is maybe something. have fun with the helicopter mission&

Love the mafia remake. Reminded me a lot of childhood and playing at uncle’s house on PS2. Until just thought: i would have liked an experience like this especially for vice city and i would buy it for sure.

And then you came here and reminded me of the mission with the mini helicopter.. You don’t really want to do that to yourself anymore&

So the dream of the GTA san andreas remake is finally burst& … very sad, but had no longer expected it anyway.
