Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time there was a little girl that everyone liked. Her grandmother gave her a nice red velvet cap. And because she really liked the cap, she didn’t want to take it off. That’s why she was called Little Red Riding Hood.

One day her mother said to her: “Little Red Riding Hood, I will give you a basket with a cake and a bottle of wine. Please take this basket out to Grandmother. She is sick and weak and will be happy about it. ”“ Yes, I would like to do that, ”said Little Red Riding Hood to her mother.

The grandmother lived outside in the forest, half an hour from the village. When Little Red Riding Hood entered the forest, she met the wolf. Little Red Riding Hood didn’t know he was bad and wasn’t afraid of him. "Hello, Little Red Riding Hood!" He said. "Thank you very much, Wolf." "Where are you going so early, Little Red Riding Hood?" "To Grandmother." "What are you wearing in your basket?" "Cake and wine so Grandmother can fortify it." "Where Does your grandmother live? ”“ Another quarter of an hour further in the forest, her house is under the three large oak trees, ”said Little Red Riding Hood. The wolf thought: “The child will taste even better than the old one. You have to come up with a plan that you can catch both. ”

The wolf then said goodbye and took a shortcut. At the grandmother’s house, he knocked on the door. "Who’s outside?" "Little Red Riding Hood, I’ll bring you cake and wine, open up!" "Just press the handle," cried the grandmother, "I’m too weak and can’t get up." The wolf pressed the handle, the door opened and without saying a word he went straight to Grandmother’s bed and devoured her. Then he put on her clothes, put on her hood, lay down in her bed and waited.

Little Red Riding Hood came in a short time later and called "Good morning, dear grandmother!" But got no answer. Then it came up to the bed. The grandmother was lying there with the hood pulled deep over her face and looking very strange. "Egg, grandmother, what big ears do you have?" "That I can hear you better." "Egg, grandmother, what big eyes you have?" "That I can see you better." "Egg, grandmother, what do you have big hands? "" That I can grab you better. "" But, grandmother, what a terribly big mouth do you have? "" That I can eat you better. "As soon as the wolf had said that, he jumped out the bed and devoured poor Little Red Riding Hood.

Then he went back to bed, fell asleep and started snoring loudly. The hunter went past the house and thought, “How the old woman snores. I’d rather ask if she’s missing something. ”He went into the room and saw that the wolf was in bed. Now he wanted to put on his gun, but he remembered that the wolf might have eaten the grandmother. Maybe he could still save her. So he grabbed Wolf’s feet and shook him until the girl tumbled out of the grandmother. The wolf fled from the house and never showed up again.

All three were happy. The grandmother ate the cake, drank the wine and recovered.
