If your vehicle cannot be made roadworthy again at the scene of the damage, we will arrange for the vehicle to be towed away and pay the towing costs, including the costs incurred by the use of a breakdown service vehicle, up to a total of € 300. In addition, we will reimburse a maximum of € 300 for the separate transport of luggage and non-commercially transported cargo as well as the security and adjustment fees in this connection.

If your vehicle has left the road, we will arrange for the recovery of your vehicle, including luggage and non-commercial cargo, and will pay the costs incurred as a result.

If your vehicle keys are in the locked vehicle and no replacement key can be organized at short notice, we will arrange for the vehicle to be opened and bear the costs incurred.

If you have refueled your vehicle with the wrong fuel, we will reimburse the costs of removing the wrong fuel and the repair costs up to a total amount of 2.000 €. Incorrect refueling also applies if fuel is filled into the adblue tank or adblue is filled into the fuel tank.

If you have lost your vehicle keys or if they have been stolen or. If the vehicle key is stolen and a replacement key cannot be organized at short notice, we will arrange for the procurement and reimburse the costs for a replacement key including shipping.

Alternatively, we assume the costs for reprogramming or installation of a new locking system once a year up to 500 €.

We will arrange for the restoration of roadworthiness at the place of damage by a breakdown service vehicle and will bear the costs incurred, including for small parts used, in the amount of up to € 300.

If your vehicle must be stored in one of the following cases:

– after a breakdown or accident, until the vehicle is restored to running order, or. Until the return transport, the scrapping or the customs clearance is carried out or

A) rental cars within germany:

– we will take care of the organization of a rental car:

In this case, we will cover the cost of the rental vehicle until the vehicle is ready to be driven again or until a replacement vehicle is available, but at most for the duration of a professional repair.

– you will be responsible for organizing the rental car yourself:

If you arrange the rental car yourself, we will cover the cost of the rental car until the vehicle is ready to be driven again or a replacement vehicle is available, but for a maximum of seven days and a maximum of €70 per day.

– rental car in the case of a vehicle in running order after third-party liability or comprehensive insurance damage

You are also entitled to a rental car if your vehicle is still roadworthy after an insured third party liability or comprehensive damage, but is taken to the workshop for repairs. Prerequisite for the assumption of the rental car costs is the organization of a rental car by us. In such cases, we will pay the costs of the rental car for the duration of a proven professional repair, but for a maximum of 7 days and a maximum of € 70 per day.

– rental car by vehicle turnaround:

In the event of theft, we will pay for a maximum of one month and a maximum of € 70 per day. If your vehicle is recovered and is ready for use again or if a replacement vehicle is available to you, your entitlement to a rental car ends.

– rental car after total loss:

In the event of total damage to the vehicle, we will cover the cost of a rental car up to a maximum of €490, irrespective of the duration of the rental car.

B) rental car abroad:

We will help you rent a vehicle and pay the costs of the rental vehicle until the vehicle is ready to be driven again or a replacement vehicle is available to you. We will pay a maximum amount of up to 490 € in total, regardless of the rental period.

General regulations for rental cars in germany and abroad:

In case of a breakdown within 30 km airline distance from your main residence, the organization of a rental car by us is a prerequisite for the assumption of the rental car costs.

The costs for delivery of the rental car, emergency service fees and winter tires will be reimbursed, but will be deducted from the maximum compensation limits stated in each case.

If your vehicle is transported to your main residence as part of the pick-up service or vehicle collection and you use a rental car for your return or onward journey, additional one-way rental costs ("drop-off costs") may be incurred. If the use of the rental car has been agreed with us, we will pay the costs for the one-way rental up to 1.000 €, up to a maximum of the amount we would reimburse for a return journey by another means of transport.

If, during the use of a rental car organized by us, a comprehensive damage occurs to the rental car, we will reimburse the difference between the excess to be borne by you towards the rental car company and the excess agreed in your comprehensive insurance for a similar damage.

If your vehicle cannot be made roadworthy again on the following day after a breakdown or accident and the estimated repair costs do not exceed the amount for the purchase of an equivalent used vehicle, we will arrange and pay for a transport option within germany to bring the passengers back to their place of residence together with the vehicle (pick-up service).

If you wish, we will help you to find a place to stay overnight and will cover the costs for a maximum of three nights. As soon as the vehicle is ready to be driven again, you will not be entitled to any further overnight costs. We cover the costs up to a maximum of 100 € per night and person.

We will reimburse the following travel costs within the area of validity of your vehicle insurance:
either

– a return journey from the place of damage to your main residence in germany or

– one onward journey from the place of damage to the place of destination as well as the return journey from the place of destination to your principal place of residence in germany as well as additionally

– a journey of a person from his main place of residence in germany or from the place of destination to the place of damage, if the vehicle has been made ready for driving there.

If neither you nor a co-insured person can drive the insured vehicle back as a result of death or illness lasting longer than three days, we will arrange for the vehicle and its occupants to be transported to your main place of residence. We will cover the costs arising from this. If passengers cannot be returned together with the insured vehicle, we will reimburse the costs of a return journey to their main place of residence in germany to the same extent as for the restoration of their mobility (see restoration of your mobility).

If you arrange the transport yourself, you will receive reimbursement of € 0.40 per kilometer between your main place of residence and the place where the damage occurred. In addition, we will in any case reimburse the costs of overnight stays incurred until the insured persons are picked up, up to a maximum of three nights and € 100 per day and person, as a result of the driver’s absence.

If you or a co-insured person should die while traveling in the insured vehicle, we will arrange for burial abroad or repatriation to or from the country of death in consultation with your relatives. within germany and bear the costs for this.

If you or a co-insured person have to stay in a hospital for more than two weeks during a trip as a result of illness, we will reimburse the travel and accommodation costs for visits by close relatives up to an amount of € 500 per claim.

If you or a co-insured person have to be transported back to your main place of residence as a result of illness, we will arrange for the return transport and bear the costs incurred. The type and timing of repatriation must be medically reasonable and justifiable.

Our service also covers the accompaniment of the sick person by a doctor or paramedic, if it is required by the authorities.

In addition, we will pay for the costs of overnight stay until the return transport. However, these must be due to the illness and are limited to a maximum of three overnight stays at a maximum of € 100 per person.

We will organize the recall via radio if you or a co-insured person are transported back to your main place of residence as a result of the death or illness of a close relative or as a result of considerable damage to property (e.g. death or illness of a family member).
