Poco leaves for the 24th

In April Poco made the puppets dance for the 24th time in the 20 Bergkamener daycare centers. There will be five puppet stages with six exciting stories. Topics such as friendship or loneliness are prepared here in a child-friendly manner.

If you take a closer look at the numbers, you can easily calculate that this cultural offer for the youngest can celebrate the silver anniversary in 2017. "Of course we have already talked about it," said culture officer Simone Schmidt-Apel and the manager of the Poco House in Rünthe Markus Luft. How specific this planning already was remained unclear. The only thing that is certain is that the furniture store wants to keep the dolls dancing in the daycare centers and family centers.

The Wilde Hummel Theater in Bochum shows "Mouse Kiss for Bear"

Markus Luft has seen some of the performances over the past few years. He finds it remarkable that the children are able to follow the pieces, which last up to 45 minutes, spellbound and are also amazingly disciplined. For him, puppet theater is an effective alternative to cell phones and the Internet.

Simone Schmidt-Apel has learned from the teachers at the Bodelschwinghhaus family center that the children see it as a gift when the puppeteers come to their daycare center with their puppets: "This is the greatest thing for them".
