Norway has more than 39 national parks with different flora and fauna. To explore them alone you would need far more than a vacation in the fascinating northern European country. Fjords, glaciers, tundra landscapes and dozens of small islands shape the landscape of Norway. Accordingly, it is a good idea to combine your activities on a family vacation with the overwhelming nature.
For example, there is the Hardangervidda National Park 200 kilometers west of the Norwegian capital Oslo, which invites you to go hiking, mountaineering, fishing and cycling. Or the Jotunheimen National Park, the height of which is largely above the tree line.

It is not only nature itself that has a unique fascination, but also its inhabitants. Who does not get goose bumps thinking about admiring a moose up close and especially in the wild? Make the children’s eyes shine and become an explorer yourself: an elk safari will delight the whole family! Experienced guides will guide you to the places where the moose can be found depending on the season.

Another highlight for the holidays in Norway is skiing. Among other things, the Hemsedal ski area is recommended. With 24 lifts and 48 runs, there is something for everyone here, and there is also the largest children’s area within Norway’s ski areas. A very special highlight for parents of all small is this "Foxnest": here children are looked after from six months!

Travel by ship is no less exciting. Whether a complete boat trip or just a day trip, all options are open to you here. A trip to the North Cape is particularly popular with young and old, the rugged rocks leave no one unaffected. And if you want to take a break from nature’s recreation, there is of course one in Norway too size Number of ways to have a great time with the whole family. One example is the Tusen Fryd amusement park, the largest amusement park in the country with countless attractions of all kinds for the whole family. A water park, carousels, roller coasters and much more have still impressed all visitors. The park is open from May to October each year, the water park is open in the summer months from June to August.

Last but not least, the beautiful capital Oslo should be mentioned, whose old town with the old fortress and its fjord location is definitely worth a visit.

The holiday destination Norway really leaves nothing to be desired!
