Light meditation in Advent
I light a candle, sit in front of it and look at it:
I take the light into myself
I let the light shine in me
In my heart
In my tummy
In all my limbs
I carry the light out into the world
That it shines on people!
Christmas blessings
The wounds of the lonely
The horror of the addicts before the holidays
The night shift in telephone counseling
The alcoholics in the clinics
The overwhelming housewives
The youth that has outgrown all
The non-families at the family festival
Give them the Christmas spirit
Christ’s birth be to them: DON’T
The blessing of the stars
We look into the star tent
and marvel at its vastness.
God’s blessing flows through all of creation.
We look into the star tent
and feel the longing for instructions.
God’s blessing flows through our hearts and senses.
We look at Christ, the morning star,
and let us guide him.
God’s blessing flows through us with joy at this star.
God’s blessings keep this joy flowing
to all who yearn for her.
Blessings to the Shepherd People
We are blessed –
like the shepherd women and men,
we leave the old behind
and open us up to the light!
We are blessed –
like the shepherd families,
we hear the call of the angel:
Do not be afraid!
Blessed are we –
like the shepherd people,
that we pass on to God’s great love
all people in our country!
We are blessed
through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Blessings on Christmas Eve
Maria found the hostel in the stable
and gave birth to her son there
in simple room,
in deep silence,
filled with radiant light.
Christmas
Maria was calm
There was no hustle and bustle in the barn
Josef was outside
the child was born
lay in the crib

God bless us all,
we long for the hostel.
on our lifelong quest.
We find home in you!
God, welcome us,

God, open our hearts,
that we open our own doors.
We want to be a hostel for others.
So bless us, God,
longing for home
and in the giving of hostels.
Because there is food and warmth and light!

Jesus, the divine child,
that Maria gave birth to in the stable,
may bless us
with the light that illuminates the night of the future!

with the warmth that our body
and our soul heals!

with the look of people near and far
