Information on the water resistance of your watch

The watch is tested for water resistance up to 30 bar. This corresponds to the pressure of an assumed water column of 300 metres. The watch is suitable for daily use and can be worn during hand washing, rain, showers or car washing. The watch can also be used for diving with equipment.

Information on the luminous material used

The luminous material used is called Superluminova BGW9. Superluminova BGW9 has a white hue in daylight. In darkness, the elements change colour to a bright blue. The luminosity is approx. 95 percent in direct comparison with Superluminova C3. The luminosity of Superluminova BGW9 is longer than that of Superluminova C1 and Superluminova C3.

Information about movement SII NH35

The caliber SII NH35 is a robust and very reliable mechanical movement based on the legendary Seiko 7S26 caliber. It has a manual winding and a second stop. The rate deviation is given as -20 to +40 seconds per day. Experience shows, however, that the movement is much more accurate, sometimes with a deviation in the single-digit second range. Furthermore, the movement has a date fast switching. The power reserve is 41 hours.

Information about the ceramic bezel

A ceramic bezel is a component consisting of a so-called technical ceramic, which has recently gained in importance in the watch industry. These bezels are pressed under high pressure and fired at more than 1400°C. The ceramic is then used to produce the bezel. This makes the steady rests extremely durable, resistant and scratch-resistant. The bezels receive their silky shine by being polished with diamond dust after production. An additional feature is the processing of Superluminova BGW9 on the ceramic element.

Information about sapphire glass

Optically, there is hardly any difference between a sapphire glass and a mineral glass. However, if one considers the specific material properties, large differences can be observed. In contrast to mineral glass, which resembles quartz in its chemical structure, sapphire glass is manufactured synthetically and consists of high-purity aluminium oxide. A sapphire crystal has a hardness of nine, which corresponds exactly to that of the natural gemstone sapphire, from which the name for the glass was derived. Mineral glasses only have degrees of hardness of six to seven. Due to the material properties, sapphire glass is extremely resistant, scratch-resistant and also particularly break-proof. Despite heavy use, a sapphire glass still looks like it did on the first day, even after years of use.

The MARC & SONS diver watches series SPORTII is a variation-rich interpretation of a legendary and in all world well-known diver watches classic. MARC & SONS focuses on independent accents in design and workmanship. The watch has a shapely robust case with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The one-sided rotating diving bezel has a ceramic inlay, which is provided with BGW9 luminous material. This also applies to hands and indexes, which glow in a bright blue in the dark and thus underline the sporty character of this watch.

The watch is driven by an automatic movement of the Seiko company. The movement NH35 captivates by its reliability and is fine-tuned before the installation by our watchmakers. The model MARC & SONS MSD-046-2S has a well readable white blue dial with color gradient.

In addition to the classic stainless steel bracelet, the watch can also be combined with a rubber strap, a leather strap or a sporty Nato strap, thus creating the perfect combination of sportiness and classic elegance.
