Greece
Early in Greece
People have lived on today’s territory of Greece for many centuries. Already in the Neolithic Age there were farmers here who raised cattle and grew grain. Ancient Greece is also known as the cradle of Europe because a lot was done here early on by philosophers, scientists and poets.
The Minoans lived around 2500 BC BC on the Greek island Crete. With them, one of the first advanced cultures in the world was created. The Minoans are not the direct ancestors of the Greeks, but the earliest Greek culture of the Mycenaeans learned a lot from the Minoans. You can learn a lot more about it on the children’s time machine.
