"The origin of the stair high chair, but expensive in comparison"

The Tripp Trapp by Stocke has been a leader in the area of baby highchairs for many years. Not least because this high chair has been used for many years and the appropriate accessories are available for every age of the child or adolescent, this high chair is so popular.

In our high chair test 2016 we also took a closer look at the Tripp Trapp from Stokke. The construction of this high chair works relatively easily even for people who may not be the most talented craftsmen. Within about 15-20 minutes you can get the chair screwed together without any problems. The chair is of high quality and has no edges or burrs that could injure you.

ever by age the high chair can be used with the newborn set or the baby set, which are each available separately. Every child, no matter how old, sits almost perfectly in the high chair.

Thanks to the adjustable boards (both the footboard and the seat board), the sitting position and height can be perfectly adapted to the height of the child.

The high chair or the accessories are not straight at around € 150 base price Cheap however, you definitely have to look at a brand high chair also include the resale value in the calculation. The Tripp Trapp from Stokke in particular can also be resold for a relatively good price.

A small drop of bitterness are the back legs, which ensure a stable stand, but you also stumble more often because they protrude from the high chair. Especially when the children are younger and the high chair is used as a baby high chair, additional extensions have to be attached to the high chair, which does not reduce the risk of stumbling. For this, of course, the stability is increased accordingly.

In handling, the Tripp Trapp from Stokke received only a satisfactory (2.8) in the high chair test of the Stiftung Warentest (2007) but a very good durability (1.0) and also a very good safety ( 1.5). With an overall rating of 1.6, the Tripp Trapp from Stokke was the test winner, followed by the Geuther Family with a rating of 1.8.

All in all, the Tripp Trapp is certainly one of the recommended high chairs, but also has a correspondingly high price, which of course is even higher if you want to use the high chair as a baby high chair with the additional set for babies.
